摘要: The presented invention is a system, which may be attached to a face of a container, such as a barrel or a tank, that includes at least one antenna and an electronic system that causes the transmission of one or more signals in at least one frequency range, where the transmitted signals that are reflected off the fluid or liquid contained within the container are collected and evaluated by a method that determines a level of the fluid or liquid within the container based on the received reflections. The system and method further achieves technical advantages over the prior art as the invention disclosed remains external to the enclosed system (barrel, etc.) and does not affect the internal ecosystem or contents of the barrel.

摘要: An arrangement for causing a water impermeable barrier conventionally lain on a ground surface to float above rising water or flooding, rather than being entrapped above the barrier, is shown and described. This invention applies particularly to ground coverings in building crawl spaces. In an embodiment, one or more floats are placed below the water impermeable barrier and above the ground. When flood waters recede, the float(s) and the water impermeable barrier return to their preflood locations above the ground surface. Floats may comprise blocks, sheets, strips, and other configurations of closed cell polymeric foam, for example. The float or floats may be coupled to the water impermeable barrier or alternatively, may be left decoupled therefrom.

摘要: Apparatus and associated methods relate to a pop-up vest, illustratively implemented as a flotation apparel item comprising a water sport apparel item, an inflatable Personal Flotation Device (PFD) configured in the water sport apparel item, and an inflation trigger configured to inflate the PFD. The water sport apparel item may comprise a shirt, t-shirt, wetsuit or rash guard. The water sport apparel item may be adapted to retain the PFD between an outer apparel item layer and a base apparel item layer sewn together. The inflation trigger may be a pull tab configured to inflate the PFD when desired. The inflation trigger may be a sensor configured to automatically inflate the PFD when the sensor is wet. An exemplary pop-up vest implementation may be configured with a water activated light to improve visibility. Some pop-up vest designs may comprise a whistle permitting the user to raise awareness of their location.

摘要: An exemplary Open Label Spinal Cord Stimulation (SCS) Implantable Pulse Generator (IPG) may be configured to treat a pain syndrome based on applying a predetermined waveform protocol to a patient, while measuring patient physiological parameters in a feedback loop using sensors and triggering a change of the predetermined waveform protocol to an adapted waveform protocol, in response to detecting a change in the tolerance of the pain syndrome to the predetermined waveform protocol. The waveform protocol may be multiple waveforms cycling or alternating in patterns to prevent a pain syndrome from developing tolerance to individual waveforms. Pain syndrome tolerance may be determined based on preset, pre-implantation data. Pain syndrome tolerance to the predetermined waveform protocol may be based on the patient's pain level determined from the physiological parameters. The IPG may be provisioned to apply a digitally authenticated waveform protocol during a time period governed by a digitally signed prescription.

摘要: A TPMS sensor with an externally replaceable battery is disclosed. The valve stem facilitates battery replacement with a valve stem core designed to removably secure a battery within the valve stem and a sensor configured with an electrical connection designed to connect the sensor to power from the battery. The valve stem has an interior cavity configured to retain the valve stem core. The battery may be at least partially retained within the valve stem. The sensor may be configured in a sensor body connected to an end of the valve stem distal from the valve stem core. The electrical connection may comprise a spring-loaded terminal configured to connect or disconnect the sensor and battery as the battery is inserted or removed from the valve stem through a valve stem end proximal to the valve stem core, permitting battery replacement without removing or deflating a tire configured with the sensor.

摘要: An exemplary storage rack comprising a storage rack structure section having a rack support, said support comprising an elongated member with a hanging end and a connecting end distal from the hanging end, wherein the hanging end and the connecting end comprise respective connector apertures, an accessory support comprising an elongated member disposed substantially perpendicular to the rack support, wherein the accessory support is substantially bisected by the rack support, and wherein the rack support and the accessory support are formed from a single strand of a thread-like structure. The storage rack may comprise a plurality of sections interconnected by connector apertures at a connecting end of one section and a hanging end of another section. The thread-like structure may be wire and connector apertures may comprise a perimeter twist advantageously permitting individual sections of an interconnected plurality of storage rack structure sections to swivel while supporting a heavy load.

摘要: A sensor structure is disclosed comprising at least four planar layers subsuming at least one cavity housed but not contained by overlapping apertures through at least two of the planar layers, wherein the at least one cavity comprises a plurality of chambers, and wherein at least one chamber of the plurality of chambers is configured to be in fluid coupling with at least one other chamber. The plurality of chambers may be defined by overlapping apertures through a plurality of the planar layers. The plurality of chambers may include a Gas Chromatograph (GC) column. The planar layers may be flexible flat glass. The planar layers may be fused together. The layers may be made with apertures through the layers disposed in a desired pattern to define complex structures by the apertures overlapping between abutting layers when the layers are stacked. The planar layers may be configured to admit ultraviolet light.

摘要: Apparatus and associated methods relate to cooling hot biochar based on applying cool gas directly to the hot biochar. The gas may be steam comprising water vapor. Biochar may be cooled in a cooling chamber by cool steam injected into a steam loop configured to cool the steam. The biochar cooled with steam may be dried in a drying chamber by dry gas injected from a gas loop. The gas may be hydrocarbon gas. Biochar may be heated in a processing chamber. Heated biochar may be cooled in a cooling chamber by cool hydrocarbon gas injected to the cooling chamber. Biochar in the processing chamber may be heated with heat recovered from cooling. Filtered byproducts and tail gas may be recovered from the cooling chamber. Tail gas may be recycled. Various direct biochar cooling implementations may produce biochar having enhanced carbon content, increased surface area, and a hydrogen stream byproduct.
