    摘要: A hinge assembly, a portable computer having the same and methods thereof can include a latching function. The hinge assembly includes a latching projection and latching groove coupled, respectively, to a main unit and a display unit of a portable computer. The latching projection and latching groove can slidingly engage with each other to hold the portable computer in a prescribed position (e.g., closed) unless a force greater than a prescribed force is applied. The hinge assembly includes a first mounting bracket; a first cam moving integrally with the first mounting bracket; a second mounting bracket fixed to a portion that can rotate relatively to the portion to which the first mounting bracket is fixed; and a second cam coupled to the second mounting bracket that rotates relatively with respect to the first cam while being in contact with and rubbed against the first cam. Thus, it is not necessary to separately provide a latch device for engagement between the display and the main body.

    摘要: A method of controlling a handover is disclosed that uses both a soft handover and a hard handover in an uplink synchronous transmission scheme to synchronize the reception timing between mobile stations in an area of a base station.     摘要: A controlling apparatus of a mobile communication terminal using electrostatic detection includes an electrostatic detector for sensing an instantaneous voltage generated at higher than a reference level and applying it to a controller in order to recognize occurrence of a malfunction due to static electricity. Static electricity generated while a mobile terminal is in use is sensed by the controller to remove a no-sensing phenomenon of the display unit. Thus, a reliability of the mobile terminal can be enhanced and the user's convenience can be increased.

    摘要: A plasma display panel is disclosed, which prevents luminance from being reduced, prevents error discharge from occurring due to crosstalk, and improves exhaust ability. Auxiliary barriers or projections are formed in a boundary portion between respective cells in a stripe type barrier structure. Alternatively, a predetermined groove is formed in a predetermined position of a dielectric layer in a lattice shaped barrier structure. In addition to these barriers, second barriers are formed at a greater width or at constant intervals. Thus, exhaust ability can be improved, and error discharge due to crosstalk can be prevented from occurring. Also, luminance in corner portions of the cell can be improved, and contrast can be improved even if a black matrix is not formed.

    摘要: An organic EL display panel has a multi-layered structure in which a first electrode and a second electrode are formed on a transparent panel and an organic EL layer is formed between the first and second electrodes. A method for sealing the organic EL display panel includes the steps of forming a buffer layer of an organic matter such as silicon oxide and silicon nitride on the transparent panel, and locating a shield cover on the buffer layer. Thus, adhesive strength between the panel and an adhesive is enhanced to prevent external humidity and oxygen from being permeated into the panel, thereby increasing life span of the display.
