Abstract: An adjustable and modifiable jack plate for attaching and positioning an outboard motor to the transom of a boat. The jack plate has a lift plate to attach the outboard motor, the lift plate having cylindrical polymer bearings on each of two lateral sides, the two bearings slidingly received in bearing retainers configured as a pair of C-shaped channel members, each channel member having a unitary vertical flange. Each flange being connected to a cooperating flange of a pair of L-shaped wing brackets, the cooperating flanges forming a lap joint. The L-shaped brackets are easily replaced with different L-shaped brackets having different set back distances for optimizing performance. A control system includes a user interface that has up and down buttons, a plurality of memory buttons for returning the lift plate to specific stored positions, and a numeric readout the provides a specific lift measurement in units such as inches.

Abstract: A single-photon Raman optical frequency comb source is provided, including: a light source assembly, a filtering mechanism, at least three electro-optical modulators, a wavelength division multiplexer and a single photon generating mechanism. The light source assembly is configured to generate a Raman scattering light. The filtering mechanism is configured to pass a light having a specific wavelength, to filter the Raman scattering light and obtain at least three Raman scattering spectral lines. Each electro-optical modulator is configured to modulate a frequency of one of the Raman scattering spectrum lines in one-to-one correspondence, so as to cause a frequency shift of the Raman scattering spectrum line. The wavelength division multiplexer is configured to multiplex all modulated Raman scattering spectral lines and output a Raman optical frequency comb. The single photon generating mechanism is configured to adjust the Raman optical frequency comb to obtain a single-photon Raman optical frequency comb.

Abstract: Muzzleloader systems including a pre-packaged propellant charge with a primer and receptacle. The muzzleloader system may include a propellant containment vessel separate from the primer and the projectile and that doesn't contact with the projectile until assembly. The muzzleloader may be rear loading, with a constriction portion forward of the breech chamber. The propellant containment vessel may include a body portion having a forward opening, with a propellant charge disposed therein and a cap portion that is crimp rolled within the mouth of the vessel to seal the forward opening. The closed end of the propellant containment vessel may define a primer receptacle configured to receive the primer. The receptacle may define a depth that is less than the primer height so that, when inserted into the receptacle, the primer extends rearwardly beyond the containment vessel. The muzzleloader system may be configured to fire only specifically configured propellant containment vessels.

The portable video display apparatus generates an enlarged image frame by up-sampling the second image frame, generates a display image frame according to the second feature map at the x2+1th layer and the enlarged image frame and displays it.

Steps a) to c) are carried out for at least two different, fixed wavelengths. The surface topography of the object is determined by means of digital holography.

Abstract: A lighter having a main fuel containment housing body and a forward hinged lid with a closed position and an open position, the open position providing access to the flame generator assembly. The flame generator assembly providing a wind shield with a flame outlet that, when the lighter is in an operation orientation, is directed upwardly and in a direction generally perpendicular to the major dimension of the lighter in the closed position. The windshield having dimples with apertures extending outwardly for reducing wind while providing oxygen. The lighter may have a forward sleeve with a closeable lid, the sleeve extending around the four sides of the housing and slidable on the fuel containment housing. An actuation portion effects a transition from the closed position to an operational position, opening the lid and sliding the sleeve downwardly exposing the flame generation system out of an opening in the sleeve.

Abstract: A delivery system extends from a laser radiation source for connecting to a medical device that utilizes the laser radiation for medical treatment. The delivery system comprises an optical fiber connecting to a male launch connecter. The male launch connector having a body portion with the optical fiber fixed or constrained therein and the optical fiber terminating at a male ferrule with a forward directed fiber facet, the male ferrule may be cantilevered within the body portion by the optical fiber line providing freedom of movement of the male ferrule. The launch connector engages a receiving connector on the medical device first with mechanical connection portions and then more finely aligning optical connection portions by the male ferrule self aligning in a female ferrule with cooperating tapered surfaces. The male portion may fully seat in the female portion with cooperating cylindrical surfaces.
