摘要: The subject disclosure presents systems and methods for automatically selecting meaningful regions on a whole-slide image and performing quality control on the resulting collection of FOVs. Density maps may be generated quantifying the local density of detection results. The heat maps as well as combinations of maps (such as a local sum, ratio, etc.) may be provided as input into an automated FOV selection operation. The selection operation may select regions of each heat map that represent extreme and average representative regions, based on one or more rules. One or more rules may be defined in order to generate the list of candidate FOVs. The rules may generally be formulated such that FOVs chosen for quality control are the ones that require the most scrutiny and will benefit the most from an assessment by an expert observer.

摘要: Disclosed herein is a stellarator comprising two sets of coils, namely a set of encircling coils which encircle the plasma axis, and a set of shaping coils which do not encircle any other coil or the plasma. In some embodiments, the encircling coils include a structural element to maintain their shape under magnetic forces. In some embodiments, the shaping coils are mounted onto one or more structural elements which, together with the shaping coils, constitute a field shaping unit. Also disclosed is a controller which may modify the electrical current flowing in one or more subsets of the coils in order to achieve target plasma parameters. Also disclosed is a method of designing a set of shaping coils by discretizing a surface dipole or current potential distribution.

摘要: This invention enables asynchronous encrypted communication under a protection of a simple password which must be communicated out-of-band. The password is easily communicable in-person, by telephone or by a text message. The invention assumes that one of the parties has an online device, such as a smartphone. After the encrypted session has been established, it can be used for a variety of cryptographic applications, such as encrypting or decrypting messages, sharing of cryptographic keys, and verifying data. The invention also has the secondary benefit of authenticating both parties to each other.

摘要: A real time assay monitoring system and method can be used to monitor reagent volume in assays for fluid replenishment control, monitor assays in real-time to obtain quality control information, monitor assays in real-time during development to detect saturation levels that can be used to shorten assay time, and provide assay results before the assay is complete, enabling reflex testing to begin automatically. The monitoring system can include a real time imaging system with a camera and lights to capture images of the assay. The captured images can then be used to monitor and control the quality of the staining process in an assay, provide early assay results, and/or to measure the on-site reagent volume within the assay.

摘要: A portable cooking oil distribution device for filling remote fryers with fresh cooking oil. In other embodiments the device can also collect used cooking oil from the fryer. In one embodiment, a portable device includes a fresh oil tank, a three-way valve connected by piping to the fresh oil tank, a pump connected by piping to the three-way valve, and a nozzle connected by piping to the pump, the nozzle having an outlet tube connected to the piping between the pump and the nozzle. The device may also include a used oil tank, a second three-way valve connected by piping to the used oil tank, a second pump connected by piping to the three-way valve, and piping connecting the second pump to the nozzle, where the nozzle includes a inlet tube connected to the piping between the pump and the nozzle.

摘要: Methods, systems, and apparatuses for detecting and describing heterogeneity in a cell sample are disclosed herein. A plurality of fields of view (FOV) are generated for one or more areas of interest (AOI) within an image of the cell sample are generated. Hyperspectral or multispectral data from each FOV is organized into an image stack containing one or more z-layers, with each z-layer containing intensity data for a single marker at each pixel in the FOV. A cluster analysis is applied to the image stacks, wherein the clustering algorithm groups pixels having a similar ratio of detectable marker intensity across layers of the z-axis, thereby generating a plurality of clusters having similar expression patterns.
