摘要: A motion-enable device includes a mechanical switch and a capacitive sensor with a sensing region that is located adjacent to the mechanical switch. The mechanical switch enables a first signal when closed or actuated that indicates that the mechanical switch is in an active state. The capacitive sensor enables a second signal when a conductive object is disposed in the sensing region, where the second signal indicates that the capacitive sensor is in an active state. Enablement of operation of an apparatus depends on receipt of both the first signal and the second signal. The mechanical switch and the capacitive sensor act as the two separate switches required by functional safety requirements for a motion enable device. Because the sensing region of the capacitive sensor is adjacent to the mechanical switch, the first and second signals are generated when an operator actuates the mechanical switch with a single digit.

摘要: Disclosed herein are radiotherapy methods and systems that can display a workflow-oriented graphical user interface(s). In an embodiment, a method comprises presenting, by the server for display on a screen associated with a radiotherapy machine, a series of consecutive graphical user interfaces, wherein each graphical user interface displays one or more graphical components corresponding to one or more tasks of one or more stages of a patient's radiotherapy treatment; and when a user operating the pendant interacts with a first controller of the pendant, the radiotherapy machine adjusts at least one of its configurations; and when the user interacts with a second controller of the pendant, the server revises the graphical user interface corresponding to the user's input.

摘要: A system that generates a three-dimensional model of a tissue surface, for example the inner surface of the heart from two-dimensional image data slices. On this surface, one or more pattern lines are drawn, e.g., by a physician using a user interface, to designate desired lesion(s) on the surface. From the pattern lines, a three-dimensional volume for a lesion can be determined using known constraints. Advantageously, the series of boundaries generated by the three-dimensional volume may be projected back onto the individual CT scans, which then may be transferred to a standard radiosurgical planning tool. A dose cloud may also be projected on the model to aid in evaluating a plan.

摘要: Presented systems and methods facilitate efficient and effective generation and delivery of radiation. In one embodiment, an accelerator system includes a particle source, an acceleration portion, a high intensity target, and a target location control component. The particle source is configured to generate charged particles. The acceleration portion is configured to accelerate the charged particles. The high intensity target is configured to generate Bremsstrahlung radiation in response to impact by the charged particles. The target location control component configured to change the location of charged particle impacts on the high intensity target. In one exemplary implementation the change of location of charged particle impact is based on thermal diffusion and said location of charged particle impacts is moved at a rate greater than a rate of diffusion of detrimental heat impacts on the high intensity target.

摘要: Disclosed herein are radiotherapy methods and systems that can display a workflow-oriented graphical user interface(s). In an embodiment, a method comprises presenting, by a server, a first page of a first graphical user interface on the radiotherapy console associated with a radiotherapy machine in a treatment room, wherein the first graphical user interface contains a plurality of pages, each page corresponding to a stage of treatment implemented by the radiotherapy machine, and the first page corresponds to a first stage; and transitioning, by the server, the first page of the first graphical user interface to a second page of the first graphical user interface corresponding to a second stage responsive to an input of a user interacting with a second graphical interface presented on a display in the treatment room indicating that at least a predetermined portion of tasks associated with the first stage has been satisfied.

摘要: A method used for planning radiation treatment accessing information that includes calculated doses and calculated dose rates for sub-volumes in a treatment target, and also accessing information that includes values of a measure of the sub-volumes as a function of the calculated doses and the calculated dose rates. A graphical user interface includes a rendering that is based on the calculated doses, the calculated doses rates, and the values of the measure.

摘要: Time-domain interleaving of treatment X-rays and imaging X-rays during an image guided radiation therapy (IGRT) process in a radiation therapy system prevents scatter of the treatment X-rays from degrading the quality of X-ray images used to generate volumetric image data of a target volume. Imaging X-rays are delivered to the target volume during one or more imaging intervals, and one or more pulses of treatment X-rays are delivered to the target volume between the imaging intervals. In instances in which a pulse of treatment X-rays is timed to occur during an imaging interval, the pulse of treatment X-rays is inhibited from occurring during the imaging interval and is rescheduled to occur at a later time that does not coincide with that imaging interval or subsequent imaging intervals.

摘要: In various embodiments, a radiation therapy method can include loading a planning image of a target in a human. In addition, the position of the target can be monitored. A computation can be made of an occurrence of substantial alignment between the position of the target and the target of the planning image. Furthermore, after the computing, a beam of radiation is triggered to deliver a dosage to the target in a short period of time (e.g., less than a second).

摘要: A method includes determining skin characteristics in a region of a patient. An in-treatment optical scan is performed on a region of a patient, wherein the in-treatment optical scan comprises a near infrared (NIR) energy source. A plurality of detected signals is detected from the optical scan. The skin characteristics are filtered out from the plurality of detected signals. Skeletal anatomy positioning associated with the region is determined from the plurality of signals that is filtered.
