Abstract:
Intermediate for the production of a projectile in particular a deformable bullet, consisting of a ductile blank, which is cold-formed into the intermediate by means of pressing, a cylindrical solid base end section and a press end section with a central press recess incorporated by means of pressing and a wall limiting the press recess to form an ogival shaped tip, wherein the wall is formed with at least two slots extending in the axial direction of the intermediate, which separate at least two prongs in the circumferential direction of the intermediate, wherein the at least two slots extend by more than 10% of an axial total longitudinal extension of the intermediate from the wall end towards the base end section.
Abstract:
Metallic solid projectile for practice cartridges, in particular for use on preferably police shooting ranges, wherein the solid projectile comprises a front-side ogival portion and a cylinder portion for holding the solid projectile in a cartridge case and defines a projectile length in the axial direction, wherein the ogival portion has an ogival wall and a rotationally symmetrical ogival cavity circumferentially bounded by the ogival wall, wherein it is provided that a fully cylindrical stem portion of the solid projectile extends in the axial direction over less than 45% of the projectile length.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a projectile for ammunition, in particular rimfire ammunition, comprising a preferably ogive-shaped nose section and a projectile tail which has an annular recess at an end face, an annular edge circumferentially surrounding the annular recess and radially outwardly delimiting the recess in the circumferential direction, and a projection arranged in the annular recess and extending in the longitudinal direction of the projectile, wherein the annular edge, the projection and optionally the nose section are manufactured in one piece.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a projectile having a cylindrical hole (15) arranged at the nose as seen in the firing direction, said hole (15) extending coaxially with the longitudinal axis (12) of the projectile and a projectile nose (1) being inserted into this hole, wherein the longitudinal axis (12) of the projectile at the same time also forms the longitudinal axis of the projectile nose (1). In order that accelerated expansion of the projectile occurs when the projectile strikes a soft medium, it is proposed according to the invention that an open hollow channel (5) is introduced in the projectile nose (1) coaxially with the longitudinal axis (12), said hollow channel (5) extending from the front end (22) to the rear end (23) of the projectile nose (1), as seen in the firing direction, and a membrane (6) is arranged in the hollow channel (5), said membrane dividing the hollow channel (5) into two hollow-channel portions (5a, 5b).
Abstract:
The invention relates to an actuator with a housing (1) in which a piston (2) with a pin (3) is inserted in a longitudinally displaceable manner, and with an igniting element (4) with contact pins (5), wherein the contact pins (5) project out of the housing (1) on the connecting side (6) thereof, and, when the igniting element (4) is ignited by the propellants generated, the piston (2) is displaced in the direction of the actuating side (7) until the pin (3) projects out of the housing (1) on the actuating side (7). For production to be more cost-effective, it is proposed that the housing (1) is designed as a single part and in the form of a cylinder, and the connecting side (6) is injection moulded or bonded around the end surface (9) of the housing (1) with a cylindrical cover (10) fitting thereover.
Abstract:
The invention relates to thermal pre-ignition agents and to their use as thermal fuses, in particular for use in gas generators of motor-vehicle safety systems.
Abstract:
When intervention ammunitions are fired in shooting ranges, subsequently there occur high levels of released energy, stop butt damage, at the target. Therefore the invention provides a complete destruction shell, in the form of an encased shell, characterized in that the core (3) of the shell consists of balls (4, 5) or metal granular materials, and the balls (4, 5) or granular materials are compressed without forming inclusions.
Abstract:
An expanding bullet having a one-piece structure has a cylindrical section and a section that is essentially shaped as a truncated cone, with the bullet tip being situated at the end of the latter section, which end faces away from the cylindrical section, and at least one planned breaking point being formed in this section, wherein the section shaped as a truncated cone is divided into segments and has a channel that has a mouth in the region of the bullet tip, wherein the channel has a bell-shaped widened region, which has its greatest diameter in the region of the transition from the cylindrical section to the section shaped as a truncated cone.
Abstract:
The invention relates to fragmenting projectiles. In order that all projectiles of a*waffe*Bug projectile type have the same point of impact, i.e., the same projectile weight, the same center of gravity and the same geometry, and that the marksman can set the fragmentation behavior solely by selecting the projectile, fragmenting projectiles having defined fragmentation in steps for the same point of impact, designed as two projectile types, namely as partially fragmenting projectiles or as jacketed projectiles, are proposed, wherein all fragmenting projectiles of a projectile type have the same projectile weight, the same center of gravity, and the same geometry, a fragmentable core is arranged in the front nose region for both projectile types, all fragmentable cores of a projectile type have the same density and differ from each other in the weight of the fragmentable core depending on the fragmentation, and all projectiles of a projectile type having the same weight of the fragmentable core have an identical marking that can be seen or felt from the outside.
