摘要: An optical full-field transmitter for an optical communications network includes a primary laser source configured to provide a narrow spectral linewidth for a primary laser signal, and a first intensity modulator in communication with a first amplitude data source. The first intensity modulator is configured to output a first amplitude-modulated optical signal from the laser signal. The transmitter further includes a first phase modulator in communication with a first phase data source and the first amplitude-modulated optical signal. The first phase modulator is configured to output a first two-stage full-field optical signal. The primary laser source has a structure based on a III-V compound semiconductor.

摘要: An optical transceiver is provided for a network communication system utilizing a coherent passive optical network (CPON). The optical transceiver includes a downstream transmitter in operable communication with an optical communication medium. The downstream transmitter is configured to schedule upstream resource allocation blocks to first and second downstream transceivers disposed along the optical communication medium at different respective locations remote from the optical transceiver. The optical transceiver further includes an upstream burst receiver system configured to simultaneously detect (i) a first upstream burst transmission sent from the first downstream transceiver along a first frequency subchannel of an optical spectrum of the CPON, and (ii) a second upstream burst transmission sent from the second downstream transceiver along a second frequency subchannel of the optical spectrum different from the first frequency subchannel. The first and second upstream burst transmissions do not overlap in the frequency domain.

摘要: An intelligent border gateway protocol (BGP) device for monitoring and mitigating BGP propagation is provided. The intelligent BGP device includes a transceiver, a processor, and a memory. The transceiver communicates with at least one router over of a communication network. The memory store computer-executable instructions, which, when executed by the processor, cause the intelligent BGP device to store a plurality of historical networking information. The instructions further cause the intelligent BGP device to receive, from a router, a request to analyze an update message, including at least an autonomous system number and a prefix. The instructions also cause the intelligent BGP device to compare the update message to the plurality of historical networking information. In addition, the instructions cause the intelligent BGP device to generate and transmit a probability that the update message is valid based upon the comparison.

The method also includes extracting the plurality of data streams from a respective one of the plurality of down-converted signals.
