Abstract: A first and a second flange assembly configured for facilitating uniform and laminar flow in a system are provided. The first flange assembly includes a first flange body configured to introduce a gas into a chamber. The first flange assembly includes a plurality of outlet tubes disposed on an interior surface of the first flange body and a plurality of inlet tubes disposed on an exterior surface of the first flange body and in fluid communication with the plurality of outlet tubes. The second flange assembly includes a second flange body configured to remove the gas from the chamber. The second flange assembly includes a plurality of through holes extending from an interior surface to an exterior surface of the second flange body and a plurality of exit tubes extending from the exterior surface of the second flange body and in fluid communication with the plurality of through holes.

Abstract: Complexes comprising a coordinated Cu(II) ion are described herein, which are capable of binding to an extracellular portion of Ctr1 such that the complex with the Cu(II) ion is transported through the Ctr1. The complexes may comprise a Cu(II) ion coordinated to a ligand and to a peptide, wherein the peptide is released upon contact of the complex with an extracellular portion of Ctr1, thereby forming a second complex comprising the ligand, the copper ion and the extracellular portion of Ctr1. Further described herein are uses and methods utilizing the complex, in imaging, in radiation therapy, and for determining a redox state of cells.

Abstract: Methods, apparatus, and computer program products for quantum communications and quantum information processing are provided. An example method includes determining a received state of a qubit received via a quantum communication link where the received state includes one or more properties of the received qubit. The method further accesses a transmitted state of the qubit where the transmitted state includes one or more properties of the qubit as transmitted. The method continues by comparing the one or more properties of the qubit in the received state with the one or more properties of the qubit in the transmitted state. Finally, the method detects a condition of the quantum communication link based on the comparison between the received state and the transmitted state. In doing so, the embodiments operate to characterize the noise level, security, etc. of a quantum communication interconnect, link, or channel.
