Abstract: Compositions comprising a substrate and a silane-based polymer are disclosed. Coated substrates and articles comprising the compositions are also disclosed. Process of preparing the compositions and methods of using the same, such as for UV-blocking coatings are provided. Compositions comprising a substrate, a silane compound and a surfactant wherein a weight per weight (w/w) ratio of the silane compound and the surfactant is between 10:1 (w/w) to 40:1 (w/w) are disclosed. Coated substrates and articles comprising the compositions are also disclosed. Process of preparing the compositions and methods of using the same, such as for anti-fogging and superhydrophobic coatings are provided.
