    摘要: The invention relates to a rock anchor including an elongate, hydraulically inflatable anchor tube made of a ductile material and defining a closed leading end, a trailing end, and a tube cavity extending between the ends. The rock anchor of the invention includes an end cap on a trailing end of the tube, defining a feed aperture in communication with the tube cavity for pressure feeding a liquid substance into the tube cavity for inflating the tube. The end cap includes pressure indicator means configured for indicating when, as a result of pressure feeding of a liquid substance into the tube cavity, a predetermined installation pressure is reached in the tube cavity. The pressure indicator means typically includes a pressure indicator formation displaceable under pressure in the tube cavity, with such displacement being visible from the outside of the end cap.

A controller controls the operation of the machine, and a transmitter transmits to the controller control signals from the operator at a remote location from the borehole. A sensor causes the controller to take action, such as by providing a warning signal or disabling one or more aspects of the machine, if the operator is within a predetermined proximity of the drilling, bolting, or mining operation.     摘要: A low-profile mine roof support device comprises a roof plate and a barrel. The barrel includes a nose portion, a shoulder portion, and a tapered bore for receiving a cable to secure the roof plate to the mine roof. The shoulder portion of the barrel comprises a convex surface that seats against the plate. So configured, a majority of the barrel, which includes the nose portion and the tapered bore, passes through the plate and into a drilled hole formed in the mine roof, thereby advantageously minimizing the extent to which the support device extends into the workspace of the mine without sacrificing the length of the barrel.

    摘要: A re-tensionable cable bolt and related methods are provided. In one aspect of the invention, the bolt includes a sleeve for connecting or securing to a cable. The sleeve includes a lower end having a bore adapted for receiving a threaded shank for associating with a tension nut. A plurality of facets along a peripheral portion of the sleeve create corners that prevent the cable from rotating within the borehole during installation. The sleeve may be secured to the cable using resin, which forms another aspect of the invention.

    摘要: A friction rock stabilizer includes an elongated metal tube having and interior and an exterior surface with a distal end and a proximal end. The distal end is tapered and a flange is positioned adjacent the proximal end. The tube further includes a slit that runs substantially the entire length thereof. The tube is constructed so as to be capable of being positioned within a bore formed in the wall of a mine. An internal sleeve is located adjacent the distal end of the tube. A tapered expander is also located within the interior of the tube adjacent the distal end and is actuatable from the proximal end of the tube after the point anchor is installed in a bore. The tapered expander expands the distal end of the tube to firmly anchor the stabilizer in the bore.
