Abstract: The container is mounted onto the structure and attached to the bottom of the rain gutter. It collects rain gutter water and pumps the water out across the lawn area using a battery/solar powered system, using a sump pump with hoses and nozzles. It also keeps leaves and debris from collecting in the unit and thus expelling them out of the unit using a debris disposal mechanism which is also powered by the battery/solar system. It is mounted on the structure using a T-channel bracket with siding shims. The solar panel is mounted onto the unit and is used to charge the battery which is inside the container.

Abstract: An inlet flow multiplier for a drain is provided. The multiplier includes a planar baffle having a mounting collar oriented perpendicular to the plane of the baffle. The collar has a pair of clamping flanges to allow it to be mounted to drains of varying diameter. The length of the baffle is substantially longer than the diameter of the drain to which it is mounted. In one embodiment, the length is approximately five times as long. The baffle is mounted so that it intersects the circumference of the drain. Optimally, the baffle bisects the drain opening. A bi-functional roof drain utilizing the inlet multiplier is also provided. Such a drain includes a primary drain and a backup drain pipe extending through and isolated from the primary drain. The planar baffle is attached via the mounting collar to the backup drain pipe to position the planar baffle above the top opening.

Abstract: A guard and associated method for rain gutters includes a cap or deflector extending over a gutter of the type having a trough-shaped interior, a rear wall extending along a roof fascia, and a front lip with a channel and an end flange. A mounting bracket has a rear portion abutting the rear wall of the gutter, an upper portion supporting the deflector, and a front portion with a hook-shaped nose. The mounting bracket nose is configured for insertion under the end flange of the gutter, such that the mounting bracket is rotated rearwardly along a generally vertical arc about the nose toward the rear wall of the gutter, and shifted laterally into a skewed orientation within the gutter interior. The mounting bracket is then pivoted laterally along a generally horizontal plane about the nose into a perpendicular orientation within the gutter interior to retain the nose in the front lip of the gutter, and facilitate attachment of the rear portion of the mounting bracket to the rear wall of the gutter and the roof fascia.

Abstract: A debris removal apparatus for use in a gutter having a mounting plate with a hole defined therein, attached to the top of a gutter, a power source situated near the top of the mounting plate, a shaft, having a first end and a second end, and wherein the shaft is attached to the power source at the first end. The shaft extends through the hole defined in the mounting plate. Also provided is a hub attached to a second end of the shaft having a plurality of spokes or blades extending therefrom, whereby the spokes or blades are adapted to remove debris from the gutter to prevent clogging and flooding. Further provided is a method of using the debris removal apparatus to maintain a debris-less gutter on a structure.

Abstract: A drainage channel installation device comprises a channel-securing member and a channel-hanging member. The channel-securing member releasably engages the channel-hanging member and has opposed ends that are adapted to be releasably secured to the opposed side walls of a drainage channel.
