These operations include receiving alarm signals associated with a thermal event, receiving thermal imaging data for the observation zone associated with the thermal event, evaluating the thermal imaging data to determine the location and/or the area of the thermal event within the observation zone. The operations also include obtaining a configuration record that includes configuration parameters for a retardant dispenser associated with the observation zone. Using the configuration parameters, the operations include instructing the dispenser to provide a retardant to the thermal event.

    摘要: A fire detection and suppression system includes a fire suppression system configured to suppress a fire, an ambient temperature sensor, one or more temperature sensors, and a controller. The ambient temperature sensor measures an ambient temperature. The one or more temperature sensors are configured to measure a hazard temperature. The controller is configured to receive ambient temperature readings from the ambient temperature sensor and hazard temperature readings from the one or more temperature sensors over a learning time period. The controller is configured to determine one or more characteristic values based on the received ambient temperature readings and the hazard temperature readings over the learning time period. The controller is configured to use the one or more characteristic values to detect a fire condition. The controller is configured to activate the fire suppression system in response to detecting the fire condition.

The temperature sensor monitors a temperature and the suppression system activator can activate the fire suppression system to suppress a fire. The processing circuitry can determine a fire alert in response to the monitored temperature exceeding a temperature threshold value and adjust a polling rate of the temperature sensor in response to the temperature exceeding the temperature threshold value. The processing circuitry can determine a rate of change of the monitored temperature over a time period and activates the fire suppression system in response to the rate of change exceeding the rate of change threshold.

    摘要: A system for detecting and extinguishing fires occurring within a predetermined observation area in response to commands received from a monitoring center. The system includes a source of fire retardant liquid and a monitor for selectively directing liquid to the observation area. A valve is disposed in fluid communication between the source and the monitor and is selectively movable between a closed position wherein liquid is prevented from flowing through the valve, and an open position wherein liquid can flow through the valve. An infrared camera generates a signal in response to temperature changes occurring in the observation area. A network switch is provided for communicating with the monitoring center. A control unit in communication with the valve, the camera, and the network switch relays the signal to the monitoring center and moves the valve between the positions in response to commands received from the monitoring center.
