    摘要: Exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to resonant transformers (or reactors) and coil arrangements associated with resonant transformers. The coil arrangements can include a grounding coil configured to generate a net-zero induced voltage between a first end of the grounding coil and a second end of the grounding coil layer, and one or more step-up coil layers formed by one or more layers of pressure tape, insulating materials, and wire wrapped to form coils about a portions of a split magnetic core. The split magnetic core can include a first core segment and a second core segment, where one of the core segments is disposed within a main housing and one of the core segments is disposed external to the main housing. A gap between the first and second core segments can be manipulated to control an inductance of the resonant transformer.

    摘要: System and method for detecting turn-to-turn faults in one or more windings of various objects are provided. In one implementation, a fault detector receives a set of current measurements associated with a transformer and uses these measurements to execute a procedure for detecting a turn-to-turn fault in the transformer. The procedure can include dividing a steady-state differential current value by a steady-state voltage value to obtain one or more compensating factors, determining a magnetizing current amplitude indicator by multiplying the steady-state voltage value by the one or more compensating factors, determining a compensated differential current value by combining the steady-state differential current value with a modifier value that incorporates the magnetizing current amplitude indicator, comparing the compensated differential current value against a threshold value, and declaring an occurrence of the turn-to-turn fault in the transformer when the compensated differential current value exceeds the threshold value.

    摘要: An apparatus for measuring winding resistances of windings in a delta-connected transformer includes at least a first and a second DC current source connected each between the phase ends of a first and a second leg respectively of the primary side of the transformer and at least a third DC current source connected between two nodes of the secondary side of the transformer. Furthermore, a method for measuring a winding resistance of windings in delta-connected transformers includes the steps of applying a first and a second measuring current to each one of two corresponding legs, applying a third measuring current between two nodes of a pair of windings on the secondary side and measuring at least a winding resistance of the winding between said nodes on the secondary side of the transformer and/or the winding resistance of a leg of the primary side as soon as an inductive voltage drop in the windings substantially equals zero.
