摘要: A pressure testing unit for pressure testing equipment including a test cell having first and second side walls, a cell frame, a lid pivotally mounted on the first side wall, a first tie rod disposed through the cell frame, a second tie rod disposed through the cell frame, a first impact plate removably secured to proximal ends of the first and second side walls and proximal ends of the first and second tie rods, and a second impact plate removably secured to distal ends of the first and second side walls and distal ends of the first and second tie rods. The test cell may be lengthened by attaching a second test cell thereto. One of the impact plates may be removed from the test cell, and receptacles on the test cell may be connected to receptacles on the second test cell.

摘要: Current can/end growth/buckle tester use inside the dome area of the can for location of the can during test, therefore cans with different height have the same vertical position during the test and do not depend from height of the can. Using flanged long bushing for locating the can with different height and holding expandable plug and distribution parts for air pressure permitted reduce outside dimensions of the tester and reduce weight. Use the position of the testing can on top of expandable rubber bushing by inside the dome area of the can, permitted using almost the same volume of the growth/buckle air for any can, therefore reduce dispersion of measurement values. Area for growth/buckle tests is sealed by expandable rubber bushing with the special internal shape and durometer, which has ability to sealed by inflation any diameter of the testing can and holding growth/buckle pressure during the test. The body of sectional clamps made as I-beam with placing turning cams inside sectional clamps and top holding plates on top of body reduce size and increase rigidity of the tester. Turning pins connect inside turning cams and top holding plates. This connection permit the wall of testing can control rotation both parts. Sectional clamps with turning cams and middle central part hold the testing can in vertical and horizontal positions permitted create uniform holding and clamping force during the tests. Turning cams with rubber plates and middle rubber plate installed on the middle of the sectional clamps permit contact the testing can around and relieve thin-walled can partially from inflation pressure of expandable rubber bushing. Angle of rotation turning cams depend and control by outside diameter of testing can. Extension springs control initial opening position of turning cams. Using Belleville spring and sectional clamps with top holding plates with chamfers for holding testing cans any diameter and height during the test, created stable vertical position of the testing can during growth/buckle tests. Cuts around Bellville spring make path for delivering testing air pressure for the growth/buckle tests. Edges of top holding plates hold testing can around the outside area of the testing can by their chamfers and create necessary space around the stand for growth/buckle tests. sectional clamps pressure hold the can against of the top holding plates and work at the same direction as Belleville spring making fixed vertical position of the testing can that increase tolerance of the tests. Pressure for inflation is coming directly to expandable rubber bushing, movement sectional clamps and growth/buckle tests deliver from the same manifold.

摘要: The invention relates to a method and an arrangement for detecting a leak in a sealed package containing a product in the form of a foodstuff or a pharmaceutical. The leak detecting arrangement comprises a testing station, in which a package is placed by the transporting means and a pressure applying means arranged to apply a predetermined amount of pressure on the package located in the testing station. The arrangement further comprises a continuously operated suction means arranged to draw ambient air past a seal on the packet to be tested and a gas sensor located in the flow of ambient air drawn off by the suction means and arranged to transmit a signal dependent on the test gas concentration detected in the ambient air.
