The new and improved method of making the leverage device comprises the steps of attaching, connecting, getting, grinding, and welding. The new and improved method of using the leverage device comprises the steps of grabbing, locating, obtaining, positioning, pulling, pushing, repeating, and sliding.

摘要： A machine for removing deckboards from pallets includes a table assembly that establishes a working surface upon which a pallet can be placed and a pair of spaced, parallel, elongate frame members that are spaced from the working surface. The frame members are spaced apart a distance greater than the width of a stringer and are adapted to fit into the spaces between adjacent stringers. A paddle is included as part of each of the frame members, the paddle being movable from a retracted position where the paddle is disposed within the frame member and an extended position where the paddle moves outside the frame member and contacts a deckboard so as to move it relative to the stringers. A hydraulic cylinder moves the paddles between the retracted and extended positions. Preferably, the paddles are hinged for movement such that the deckboards are gradually pried from the stringers in order to minimize damage to the deckboards or stringers as the deckboards are removed. The machine includes movable hold-down bars that prevent a pallet from moving during a deckboard removal operation.

摘要： A pallet nail press used to drive random fasteners extending from the pallet after repair and assembly has taken place. The pallet nail press includes multiple continuous feed and exit conveyors that pre-position individual repaired pallets within a press support assembly having multiple vertical lift beams below the conveyors. The vertical lift beams are driven by a lift bag assembly. In use, the pre-positioned pallet is lifted off the continuous conveyor and driven against correspondingly positioned anvil beams driving the outwardly extending fasteners flush with the pallet. Sensors activate positioning pins and lift bag air assembly in a selected nature, cycling the pallets through the pallet nail press.

摘要： Apparatus for repairing broken stringers of wooden pallets and a method involving the use of the apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a pair of interconnected jaws having pads mounted on one end with magnets to secure studded repair plates to the pads. A broken stringer is inserted between the pads and the jaws are swung together to imbed the studs in the wood with the plate extending across the break effecting the repair. The pads are provided with limiting pivoting movement to insure proper alignment of the plates with respect to the stringer sides irrespective of the angle of the jaws when the studs contact the wood. A jack is used to adjust the vertical positions of the jaws for convenient use of the apparatus.

摘要： An apparatus for unnailing wood pallets includes a frame, a first cutter assembly and a second cutter assembly positioned vertically above the first. The first cutter assembly includes a pair of elongated horizontal support arms supporting a cutting head at one end, downwardly biasing springs at an opposite end and a pivot between the ends. The second cutter assembly includes a pair of elongated horizontal support arms supporting a second cutting head at one end and a pivot at an opposite end that is coaxial the pivot of the first cutter assembly. The second cutter assembly is biased upwardly by springs between its support arms and those of the first cutter assembly. A stringer return member is horizontally movable with a pallet-moving cradle and includes a member which is pivotally mounted to the cradle at one end and has a follower at an opposite end to follow a track that moves with the support arms in order to keep the member positioned between the pair of support arms. Each cutting head includes a pair of circular cutting blades having an outer portion that is hardened and a center portion that is left ductile. A sacrificial backing block on the pallet-moving cradle forces the pallet against the blades so that if any contact is made between the cradle and the blades, the sacrificial member, not the blades, will be damaged.

The width of the support arm is controllably variable to permit adjustment for different width stringers.

A pair of induction coils are brought into engagement with the frame pieces of the pallet and with the boards nailed to the frame pieces such as to place the nails within the eddy currents of the electric radio frequency field surrounding the coils.
