Abstract: A method and apparatus for transmitting and receiving data in a communication system using beamforming are provided. The transmission method includes transmitting a control channel signal in a control channel region of a subframe using a first transmission beam of a base station. The transmission method also includes transmitting a data signal during a predetermined time period of a data region after the control channel region in the subframe using a second transmission beam determined based on the first transmission beam. The transmission method further includes transmitting a data signal in a remaining data region following the predetermined time period using a scheduled transmission beam.

Abstract: The present disclosure is related to a 5th generation (5G) or pre-5G communication system to provide higher data rates than a 4th generation (4G) communication system such as long term evolution (LTE). A method for adjusting a receive beam gain by a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system is provided. The method includes estimating a received signal quality value based on a reference signal received from a base station (BS), transmitting information about the estimated received signal quality value to the BS, comparing the received signal quality value with a minimum received signal quality value required for successful reception of data from the BS, and adjusting a receive beam gain to be used for data reception by turning on/off a radio frequency (RF) chain formed for each of antennas included in the UE based on a result of the comparison.

Abstract: A method for transmitting data by a transmission node in a wireless communication system is provided. The method includes transmitting, to a base station, a channel information request, transmitting, to the base station, a data packet based on a first channel information value received in response to the transmitted channel information request, and awaiting reception of a response packet indicating reception of the data packet from the base station, if the reception of the response packet fails during a predetermined time interval, detecting an energy level of a signal received in the predetermined time interval, and reconfiguring one of a transmitting method for the response packet and a transmitting method for a next data packet based on the detected energy level.

According to an embodiment of the present invention, a method of operating a terminal in a wireless communication system includes the processes of: receiving an adjustment message including a first timing advance (TA) value from a first base station; and transmitting an uplink signal to a second base station based on a second TA value for the second base station that is determined based on the first TA value. According to an embodiment of the present invention, it is possible to decrease the overhead of an uplink resource by adjusting an uplink signal time transmitted to other base stations or other cells by using information for uplink synchronization in a base station or cell in a wireless communication system.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for operating, by a base station, multiple modulation schemes in a wireless communication system, the method comprising the steps of: calculating the number of terminals, among the terminals in a cell managed by the base station, of which a channel state is included in a state that is lower than a preset state; reporting information related to the calculated number of terminals to an upstream entity of the base station; receiving information about a band, assigned by the upstream entity, for a hybrid frequency shift keying (FSK) and quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM) (FQAM) scheme on the basis of a QAM scheme and a FSK scheme; and transmitting downwardly the information about the band for the FQAM scheme to the terminals of which a channel state is included in a state that is lower than the preset state. Other modified embodiments on the basis of the technical concept of the present invention are also possible.
