    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a network entity, an indication of whether the UE is capable of performing a perception-assisted beam management procedure. The UE may receive, from the network entity, a configuration indicating whether the UE should perform the perception-assisted beam management procedure based at least in part on the indication of whether the UE is capable of performing the perception-assisted beam management procedure. Numerous other aspects are described.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first device (e.g., a user equipment (UE)) may receive a first indication associated with the first device, where the first indication indicates a communication direction for each of a plurality of time periods for a time interval. The first device may receive a second indication for a set of time periods, where the second indication indicates a cancelation of communications at the first device during the set of time periods, and where the second indication is based on a communication direction mismatch between the first indication and a third indication. The first device may communicate with a base station during the time interval based on the first indication and the second indication.

    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for improving beam management. An example method includes receiving, from a network entity, configuration information configuring the UE with a set of transmission configuration indicator (TCI) states, wherein the configured set of TCI states comprises a first number of TCI states for use in communicating with the network entity, detecting a change in an operation mode of the UE from a first operation mode to a second operation mode, and transmitting, based on the detected change in the operation mode of the UE, information to the network entity indicating the UE will monitor and report on a reduced second number of TCI states of the configured set of TCI states relative to the first number of TCI states.

    Abstract: Example implementations include a method, apparatus and computer-readable medium for wireless communication configured for estimating a channel using a set of predefined sensing beams to measure reference signals. Estimating the channel may include generating an N×N channel correlation matrix, where N is a number of antenna elements in the antenna array. The implementations further include generating a set of dynamic beam weights to maximize a reference signal received power (RSRP) based on the estimated channel. The set of dynamic beam weights may be based on an eigenvector of the channel correlation matrix. Additionally, the implementations further include applying the set of dynamic beam weights to an antenna array.

    Abstract: A dual-polarized multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) mobile device is provided that includes a first array of antennas and a second array of antennas. Based upon a blockage of at least one of the array of antennas being less than a blockage threshold, the mobile device operates in a default configuration in which a default polarization selection from the second array is used in combination with a fixed polarization selection from the first array to form a first MIMO layer signal and a second MIMO layer signal. Should the blockage exceed the blockage threshold and an optional performance threshold be satisfied, the mobile device may operate in a dynamic configuration in which a dynamic polarization selection from the second array is reversed as compared to the default polarization selection.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some cases, a first user equipment (UE) within a coverage area of a base station may determine a power control configuration. The first UE may transmit an indication of the power control configuration to a second UE, which may adjust one or more power control parameters based on the indication. The one or more power control parameters may include a target received power, a compensation factor, a downlink path loss between the base station and the first UE, or a combination thereof. The second UE may use the adjusted one or more power control parameters to determine a transmit power and may transmit a message to the first UE with the determined transmit power. In some cases, the second UE may be outside of the coverage area of the base station.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for wireless communication. Various aspects support beam switching and changing antenna array configurations for communicating in a near field range. In some examples, a user equipment (UE) may transmit a beam group indicator to a network entity, and the UE and the network entity may perform beam switching operations associated with switch communication beams in association with changes to a distance between the UE and the network entity. In some such examples, the beam switching may switch from using beam weights for communications in a far field range to beam weights for communications in a near field range. Additionally or alternatively, the network entity may change configurations of an antenna array used to communicate with the UE in association with changes to the distance. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.
