Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communications and, more particularly, to techniques that may help optimize scheduling target wake-up times (TWTs) of wireless nodes.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described, including identifying a first attribute value associated with a first access point; receiving a second attribute value; and determining that the first attribute value associated with the first access point is the same as the received second attribute value. An attribute value may be an n-bit value, where n is an integer. The n-bit value may identify a BSS color. The n-bit value may, additionally or alternatively, indicate other BSS color information such as a BSSID, ESSID, SSID, or a combination thereof. It is helpful when devices detect BSS attribute value (e.g., BSS color, BSSID, MAC address, ESSID) overlap and notify other associated devices (e.g., STAs, APs) of this overlap so that a device may cease using an attribute value for power save or channel access decisions, and facilitate attribute value adjustment and correction to eliminate a BSS collision.
Abstract:
A method, an apparatus, and a computer-readable medium for wireless communication are provided. In one aspect, an apparatus is configured to determine that a multi-hop feature is enabled for a service and to transmit, based on the determination, a multi-hop attribute that may include at least one of an identifier provided by a publisher device or a hop count associated with the service. In another aspect, an apparatus is configured to determine a data scheduling protocol for a multi-hop service and to communicate with one or more wireless devices based on the determined data scheduling protocol.
Abstract:
A method, an apparatus, and a computer-readable medium for wireless communication are provided. In one aspect, an apparatus is configured to determine to initiate a security negotiation with a publishing device to establish a secure NDP in which the publishing device is an authenticator in the security negotiation and the subscribing device is a supplicant. The apparatus is configured to transmit an initiation message to the publishing device, which is providing a NAN service, to initiate the security negotiation for establishing the secure NDP. The initiation message may indicate that the publishing device will be the authenticator in the security negotiation.
Abstract:
A method of communication includes transmitting a message from a first electronic device of a neighbor aware network (NAN) to a second electronic device of the NAN via a first communication channel of a plurality of communication channels during a discovery window. The message indicates that the first electronic device is available to communicate. The method also includes monitoring a second communication channel of the plurality of communication channels during a first paging window of a transmission window. The first paging window includes a beginning portion of the transmission window, and electronic devices of the NAN are in an active state during the first paging window.
Abstract:
A method includes generating a first traffic announcement message at a first electronic device of a data link. The first traffic announcement message indicates first data is to be transmitted from the first electronic device to a second electronic device of the data link. The method also includes transmitting the first traffic announcement message to one or more electronic devices of the data link during a first paging window.
Abstract:
In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may be a station. The station receives a first beacon frame from an access point. The first beacon frame includes a first indication of a first set of domains that are supported by the access point. The station determines that the station has not established credentials with any one domain of the first set of domains. The station may receive a second beacon frame from the access point. The second beacon frame includes a second indication of a second set of domains that are supported by the access point. The first set of domains is different from the second set of domains. The station may send, to the access point, a probe request frame including a third indication of a third set of domains with which the station has established second credentials.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, and devices are described for wireless communications. A wireless device may advertise communication parameters for a particular frequency band over another frequency band. In one example, a wireless device generates multi-band wrapper information element or a neighbor report information element, which may include one or more subelements, each conveying communication information for a particular frequency band. The wireless device may include the multi-band wrapper information element or the neighbor report information element in a management frame and may transmit the management frame over a first frequency band. Another wireless device may receive the management frame over the first frequency band and may obtain the communication information for other frequency bands from the included multi-band wrapper information element. In some cases, a subelement carries communication information that is sufficient for the receiving device to directly associate with the transmitting device over the other frequency bands.
Abstract:
This disclosure provides systems, methods, apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media for one or more wireless devices to gain access to a wireless channel of a radio frequency spectrum band. In some aspects, a recurring coordinated medium interval is defined in the time domain and associated with the wireless channel. The coordinated medium interval includes a first time period, which may be referred to as a common reservation window, and a second time period, which may be referred to as a scheduled medium access window. During the first time period, access points (APs) attempting to gain access to the wireless channel may transmit reservation signals to reserve one or more scheduled service periods within the second time period of the same coordinated medium interval. The scheduled service periods reserved by an individual AP may be used for UL/DL communications between that AP and its associated stations (STAs).
Abstract:
This disclosure provides methods, components, devices, and systems for acknowledgment (ACK) processing associated with medium access control (MAC) header verification, payload verification, or both. Some aspects more specifically relate to a first wireless device advertising a processing capability associated with performing MAC protocol data unit (MPDU) verification, including MAC header verification, payload verification, or both. In some implementations, the processing capability may include a processing latency to perform the verification, a threshold quantity of MPDUs supported for the verification within a short interframe spacing (SIFS) time interval, or both. The first wireless device may transmit an indication of the processing capability to a second wireless device. In some implementations, the second wireless device may transmit MPDUs to the first wireless device in accordance with the processing capability. Additionally, or alternatively, the first wireless device may transmit an ACK frame for the MPDUs in accordance with the processing capability.
