Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, components, devices, and systems for semi-static switching for dynamic subchannel operation (DSO). Some aspects more specifically relate to trigger-based switching for DSO sessions. In some implementations, an access point (AP) may transmit a control frame indicating one or more frequency resources for a DSO session at a wireless station (STA), the indicated frequency resources included in one or more secondary subchannels. The control frame may be an example of a DSO announcement frame, a null data packet (NDP) announcement frame, an enhanced multi-STA block acknowledgment (eMBA) frame, or a block acknowledgment request (BAR) frame. The STA may switch to the one or more secondary subchannels for communications during the DSO session and may remain communicating via the secondary subchannels until detecting a trigger (for example, a time-based or frame-based trigger) to deactivate the DSO session and switch back to the primary subchannel for communications.

Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, components, devices and systems for multi-link probing enhancements for more seamless roaming. Some aspects more specifically relate to various formats of multi-link elements via which a non-access point (AP) multi-link device (MLD) may request the profile information associated with multiple AP MLDs and via which an AP MLD (or an AP affiliated with the AP MLD) may provide the requested profile information. In some examples, profile information associated with multiple AP MLDs may be requested or provided, or both, via a single multi-link element in accordance with one or more of the various formats. A non-AP MLD or an AP MLD may use such a single multi-link element to request or provide MLD-level information associated with the multiple AP MLDs or to request or provide link-level information associated with the multiple AP MLDs, or any combination thereof.

Abstract: Certain aspects provide a method for wireless communications at a first wireless node. The method generally includes: outputting, for transmission to a second wireless node, a first frame indicating one or more candidate nodes with which a TXOP may be shared, the one or more candidate nodes including the second wireless node; performing a frame exchange with one or more third wireless nodes that shares a first BSS with the first wireless node; outputting, for transmission to the second wireless node, a second frame indicating a portion of the TXOP to be shared with the second wireless node, the second frame being outputted for transmission after the frame exchange; and obtaining, from the second wireless node, a third frame indicating that the TXOP is being returned back to the first wireless node.

In some examples, a first device, such as the STA, a serving AP device, or a target AP device, may transmit a reconfiguration request to a second device, requesting to perform a link addition operation on links of the target AP device or to perform a link deletion operation on links of the serving AP device. The second device, which may be the STA, the serving AP device, or the target AP device, may transmit a reconfiguration response to indicate which links are to be deleted or added.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for coordinated scheduling of service periods (SPs). In some aspects, an access point (AP) may receive timing information indicating an SP associated with an overlapping basic service set (OBSS) and may transmit, to its associated STAs, coordinated timing information indicating the timing of the SP in relation to its timing synchronization function (TSF) timer. In some aspects, the AP may adjust the timing information to account for an offset between its TSF timer and a TSF timer associated with the OBSS. In some other aspects, the AP may synchronize its TSF timer with the TSF timer associated with the OBSS. The AP may further communicate with the STAs based on the coordinated timing information. For example, the AP may schedule communications with the STAs to be orthogonal to communications in the OBSS during the SP.

Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, components, devices and systems for frame protection in wireless communications. Some aspects more specifically relate to a first wireless device (such as a STA or AP) that may transmit frames with a packet number (PN) that has a time-based portion and a counter value. In some examples, the time-based portion may include a truncated timing synchronization function (TSF) value that indicates a time at which the frame was transmitted from the first wireless device, and the counter value may be incremented for each frame that is transmitted with a same truncated TSF value. A second wireless device may receive the frame and compare the truncated TSF with a current local time based on a truncated local TSF. The second wireless device may process the frame or discard the frame based on the comparison.

Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, components, devices and systems for low latency channel access. Some aspects more specifically relate to preemption of existing transmission opportunities (TXOPs) such that devices with low latency traffic to transmit may access the communication medium to transmit low latency traffic. Short physical layer protocol data units (PPDUs) may be used within TXOPs with interframe spaces between the PPDUs such that a device with low latency traffic may transmit a preemption indication during the interframe space. A first wireless communication device may identify low latency traffic during a first PPDU of a TXOP assigned to a second wireless communication device. The first wireless communication device may transmit a preemption indication in an interframe space that indicates that a subsequent scheduled PPDU in the TXOP will be preempted in order for the first wireless communication device to transmit a PPDU to convey the low latency traffic.

Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, components, devices and systems for coordinated medium access period management for overlapping basic service sets (OBSSs). Some aspects more specifically relate to coordinated medium access between access points (APs) and stations (STAs) of an OBSS. In some examples, a first STA may monitor, over one or more medium access periods, for communications between a neighbor AP and one or more second STAs. The one or more medium access periods may be configured for medium access and resource reservation for communications between the neighbor AP and the one or more second STAs. In some examples, the first STA may transmit to an associated AP, a report indicating the one or more attributes associated with the monitoring over the one or more medium access periods. In some examples, the report may be solicited or unsolicited, and the STA may monitor for communications over one or more measurement windows.
