    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, apparatuses and computer-readable medium for wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a first base station (BS) associated with a fifth generation New Radio (5G NR) radio access technology (RAT), a command of mobility from the 5G NR RAT to a second RAT. The UE may determine that the command of mobility is for voice fallback. The UE may transmit, to a second BS associated with the second RAT and based at least in part on determining that the command of mobility is for voice fallback, a radio resource control (RRC) connection request communication for attempting to communicatively connect with the second BS for voice fallback.

    Abstract: In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may be a UE. Further, the apparatus may be configured to determine that content is available for reception based on broadcast context information. In an aspect, the apparatus may be in an idle or inactive mode and may be associated with a first base station that is associated with a first radio access technology (RAT) that does not support broadcasting of the content. The apparatus may be further configured to receive a release message from the first base station, the release message including redirection information indicating a second base station associated with a second RAT that supports broadcasting of the content, establish a connection with the second base station based on the redirection information, and receive the content from the second base station using the second RAT.

    Abstract: Various aspects described herein relate to techniques for operating mode and cell selections and reselections in wireless communications. In an aspect, the method includes determining that a user equipment (UE) is in an idle mode, and receiving, by the UE, system information from one or more candidate cells including at least a Long Term Evolution (LTE) candidate cell or a New Radio (NR) candidate cell. The method further includes selecting or reselecting, by the UE, a cell from the one or more candidate cells to be camped on and an operating mode from an LTE mode, a Standalone (SA) mode, or a Non-standalone (NSA) mode, based on at least the received system information.
