Abstract: A station (STA) receives a schedule from a reference device in a wireless network. The schedule provides a measurement time for each of one or more wireless channels. The STA tunes to a first channel of the one or more wireless channels in accordance with the schedule. While tuned to the first channel in accordance with the schedule, the STA receives a first message from a first access point (AP). The first message, which includes a time-of-departure timestamp from the reference device, is time-stamped with a time-of-arrival timestamp. The STA receives an indication of a time at which the reference device received the first message from the first AP. The STA determines its position based in part on the time-of-departure timestamp, the time-of-arrival timestamp, and the time at which the reference device received the first message.

Abstract: Location services for a user equipment (UE) are supported with a Network Exposure Function (NEF) serving as a focal point for any location request. An entity that needs the location of the UE sends a location request to the NEF in the home PLMN or Visited PLMN for the UE. The location request includes, e.g., a type of location request, a required location accuracy, a required response time or some combination of these. The NEF determines whether to use a Gateway Mobile Location Center (GMLC) or a serving Access and Mobility Management Function (AMF) for the UE to obtain the UE location based on the content of the location request and sends the location request to the GMLC or serving AMF accordingly. Additionally, if the serving AMF is used, a serving base station may obtain the UE location and send the UE location to the serving AMF.

Abstract: Various aspects pertain to ways to securing a peer-to-peer communication link that serves to relay transmissions to/from a managed mobile network node. A first user equipment may identify a second user equipment that can communicate via a peer-to-peer wireless interface and serve as a relay between the first user equipment and a managed mobile network node. A relay session key material may be obtained from the managed mobile network node. A peer-to-peer communication link between the first user equipment and the second user equipment may be established or modified by, for example, securing the peer-to-peer communication link based on the relay session key material. A protocol data unit session may be established, over the peer-to-peer communication link, between the first user equipment and the managed mobile network node for secured transmissions there between.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for resource allocation in an integrated access and backhaul (IAB) network. A relay node in an IAB network may be assigned a first resource partition that is different from a second resource partition for the child and parent nodes. Based on a resource configuration (e.g., for a slot) of the second resource partition, the relay node may opportunistically utilize the second resource partition for communications. For instance, the relay node may determine a direction table based on the resource configurations of the child and parent nodes, which may be used to perform uplink or downlink communications in one or more symbols of the second resource partition. The relay node may also identify flexible symbols as free or non-free when determining the direction table.
