Abstract: A method for performing switching synchronization of a bridgeless rectifier in an electric vehicle (EV) wireless power transfer system may include receiving, by an EV control module, an input voltage of a transmission-side resonance circuit from a transmission-side of the EV wireless power transfer system; calculating, by the EV control module, a phase difference between the received input voltage and a voltage or a current selected in the bridgeless rectifier and a reception-side resonance circuit; and controlling, by an EV control module, switching time points of switches included in the bridgeless rectifier to decrease the calculated phase difference. The reception-side resonance circuit may be electromagnetically coupled to the transmission-side resonance circuit, and the bridgeless rectifier may be configured to rectify an output of the reception-side resonance circuit and to output the rectified output.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for identifying a short cut-in vehicle, and a vehicle using the same are disclosed. The apparatus includes a signal conversion unit configured to receive and signal-process a plurality of sensing signals, a computation unit configured to compute state information of a surrounding vehicle detected from the signal-processed signal, a sensor fusion track output unit configured to output a sensor fusion track based on the computed state information of the surrounding vehicle, an occupancy distance map (ODM) output unit configured to output ODM information including a grid map corresponding to a vehicle detection region and an ODM object including a plurality of detection points based on the computed state information of the surrounding vehicle, and a cut-in vehicle identification unit configured to identify a cut-in vehicle based on the output sensor fusion track and ODM information.

Abstract: A system of charging a battery of a vehicle is provided. The system includes a charger having a direct current (DC) capacitor to which a DC voltage converted from an AC charge voltage is applied and a first DC converter that converts a magnitude of a voltage of the DC capacitor. A first battery is connected to the first DC converter and is charged with a DC voltage converted by the first DC converter. A second DC converter is connected to the battery and converts a magnitude of a voltage of the battery. A second battery receives a DC voltage converted by the second DC converter. A controller charges the DC capacitor up to a predetermined initial charge voltage using power stored in the second battery by operating the second DC converter and the first DC converter in a backward direction before the AC charge voltage is provided to the charger.

Abstract: A motor driving and battery charging apparatus is provided. The apparatus includes a motor having a plurality of coils, a rectifier circuit connected to the plurality of coils, and a high voltage battery. An inverter generates a driving current from an output voltage of the high voltage battery and supplies the driving current to the motor while the motor operates. While the high voltage battery is charged, the rectifier circuit rectifies an alternating current (AC) of an external power source, the motor and the inverter compensate for a power factor of the current rectified by the rectifier circuit, and the high voltage battery is charged with an output current of the motor and the inverter.

Abstract: A method of fusing a surrounding vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) signal and a sensing signal of an ego vehicle includes calculating a position of a surrounding target vehicle and a velocity of the target vehicle based on the ego vehicle using global positioning system (GPS)/vehicle velocity information detected in the ego vehicle and GPS/vehicle velocity information included in a V2V signal detected in the target vehicle, extracting a sensor signal within a predetermined specific distance error from a position of the target vehicle relative to the ego vehicle of the V2V signal as a sensor information candidate group corresponding to the V2V signal, adaptively using a constant velocity model, a kinematic model or a dynamic model according to the extracted situation, and comparing the V2V signal with information on an object tracked using both the sensing signal and the V2V signal to estimate a position and velocity error of the V2V signal.

Abstract: A charging apparatus for an electric vehicle is provided. The apparatus includes an AC power input terminal receiving one AC input power from among single-phase AC power and multi-phase AC power. A power factor corrector having full bridge circuits receives the AC input power through the AC power input terminal. A link capacitor is charged through the power factor corrector. A first switch connects any one of an AC power input line and a neutral line of the AC power input terminal to the power factor corrector and a second switch selectively connects the AC power input terminal to the power factor corrector, or the link capacitor. The power factor corrector and the switch network operate based on a condition of received AC input power. The second switch includes a third switch and a fourth switch that connect each full bridge circuit to a positive battery electrode.
