The intelligent power-on reset circuit can also include a comparator that is coupled to the programmable voltage divider and that is coupled to receive a reference voltage. Furthermore, the intelligent power-on reset circuit can include a processing element that is coupled to the programmable voltage divider. The processing element can be coupled to receive programming for controlling a characteristic of the intelligent power-on reset circuit. The processing element can be for dynamically changing the programming during operation of the intelligent power-on reset circuit.
Abstract:
One embodiment includes a system configured to identify a preferred channel for radio communication from a plurality of consecutive integer frequencies including preferred channels and non-preferred channels, the system further to generate a plurality of radio channels corresponding to a plurality of consecutive integer frequencies based on a generation of reference frequencies, identifies preferred channels and non-preferred channels from the plurality of radio channels, where frequency synthesizer settling times of the preferred channels are faster than frequency synthesizer settling times of the non-preferred channels, scan the preferred channels for radio activity, select one of preferred channels responsive to the scanned radio activity; and utilize one of the reference frequencies to generate a radio frequency corresponding to the selected one of the preferred channels.
Abstract:
In one embodiment, a method for controlling display of data includes identifying a data item selected by a user from multiple data items displayed on a display screen, and modifying the appearance of the multiple data items. The method further includes causing the multiple data items to be displayed on the display screen in the modified form, together with additional information pertaining to the selected data item, where the additional information is presented without obscuring the multiple data items displayed on the display screen.
Abstract:
A non-keyboard computer peripheral device represents itself to a host computer as having a keyboard function in addition to representing its actual function. Keyboard status signals are generated by the host computer in response to a user pressing different keys on an actual keyboard. The peripheral device uses the keyboard status signals to identify different peripheral device operations selected by the user. In one example, a radio receiving device represents itself to the host computer as including the keyboard function. Pressing a button on the receiving device causes the receiving device to send a sequence of keystroke commands to the host computer that cause the host computer to initiate software applications and to display operating instructions to a user. A series of further binding operations are then executed in accordance with the displayed operating instructions.
Abstract:
A hub switch allows a high-speed USB peripheral or set of peripherals to be shared between multiple USB hosts. Multiple USB ports are configured to connect to different USB peripheral devices and USB hosts. Switching logic is located between at least some of the USB ports and USB logic. The switching logic selectively connects the USB peripheral devices to different selectable ones of the USB hosts.
Abstract:
An electronic containment battery includes a battery section and an electronic section that together form a standard battery form factor that allows insertion into conventional electronic devices. The electronic section can include Radio Frequency (RF) circuitry that enables electronic operations in the electronic containment battery to be communicated or controlled wirelessly.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for distinguishing a particular gesture from among multiple gestures, performed by a conductive object on the sensing device, using fewer than three time intervals. The apparatus may include a sensing device to detect a presence of a conductive object, and a processing device, coupled to the sensing device, to distinguish the multiple gestures. The method may include distinguishing between a tap gesture, a double tap gesture, a drag gesture, and a motion gesture.
Abstract:
An improved key matrix scanning technique conducts a first pre-scan on a first array of connections in a key matrix to identify any activated keys or buttons associated with the first array. A second sub-scan is conducted on a second array of connections in the key matrix but only for the connections in the first array that are detected as having activated keys.
Abstract:
A method and an apparatus to detect low voltage have been disclosed. One embodiment of the apparatus includes a main circuit powered at a supply voltage, wherein the supply voltage changes over time and a test circuit coupled to the main circuit, the test circuit being representative of a voltage sensitivity of the main circuit to dynamically determine if the supply voltage is above a minimum voltage at which the main circuit operates correctly, wherein the minimum voltage changes over at least one of a temperature and a time and between different instances of the main circuit.
Abstract:
An apparatus comprising a transceiver circuit. The transceiver circuit comprises a plurality of bus input/outputs (I/Os). The transceiver circuit may be configured to directly couple (i) an analog signal to the bus I/Os when the bus I/Os are in a first state and (ii) a plurality of first digital signals to the bus I/Os when the bus I/Os are in a second state.
