摘要: A liquid ejection head includes a pressure adjusting mechanism that communicates with a supply flow path that supplies a liquid to an element substrate including an ejection port ejecting a liquid, and adjusts a pressure of the liquid flowing in the supply flow path, a pressure adjusting mechanism that communicates with a collection flow path that collects a liquid from the element substrate, and adjusts a pressure of the liquid flowing in the collection flow path, and a filter storage chamber including therein a filter that captures foreign matter in the liquid. Further, the liquid ejection head includes upstream flow paths and a connection section that causes the upstream flow paths to communicate with each other, and is provided downstream of the filter.

摘要: A method of manufacturing a liquid ejecting head has a first molding step, a step of performing positioning and a second molding step. In the first molding step, a first member, a second member, and a third member are molded by injecting a resin at different locations inside of a set of a fixed mold, an intermediate movable mold, and a movable mold. In the step of performing positioning, the set is detached in a first direction and the intermediate movable mold and the movable mold are moved in a second direction. In the second molding step, a resin is injected to the inside of the set that is clamped to bond. During a period from the first molding step to completion of the second molding step, the first member, the second member, and the third member are held by insert mold pieces used for molding the members, respectively, in the first molding step.

摘要: In a printing apparatus including a circulation system circulating a liquid, a volatile component included in the liquid evaporates from an ejection opening and thus characteristics of the liquid involving with concentration or viscosity change. The invention provides a printing apparatus that uses a liquid ejection head including an ejection opening ejecting a liquid, a print element generating energy for ejecting a liquid, and a pressure chamber having the print element provided therein, the printing apparatus including: a circulator configured to circulate the liquid so that the liquid passes through the pressure chamber; and a concentration adjustment unit configured to adjust a concentration of a liquid inside a liquid circulation system by discharging the liquid from the inside of the liquid circulation system and replenishing the liquid into the liquid circulation system from the outside of the liquid circulation system in response to the amount of the discharged liquid.

摘要: A liquid discharge device performs recording by use of a liquid discharge head including discharge ports to discharge a liquid, pressure generation elements to generate energy to be used to discharge the liquid, and pressure chambers communicating with the discharge ports. The liquid discharge device includes a control unit to control a temperature of the liquid discharge head by applying heat with heating elements arranged in divided areas of a region of the liquid discharge head where the discharge ports are arranged. When there is recording data for the discharge port in a certain one of the divided areas, the control unit causes the heating element in the divided area to generate heat, and when there is no recording data for the discharge port in the certain divided area, the control unit keeps the heating element in the certain divided area from generating heat.
