    Abstract: There is provided methods for increasing a number of media playback devices served by a communications base station. The communications base station may be for transmitting data using a broadcast video band frequency and both transmitting and receiving data using a mobile broadband frequency. The methods enable the communications base station to serve a greater number of media playback devices in the idle mode compared to a lesser number of media playback devices in the active mode. Both the broadcast video band frequency and the mobile broadband frequency may be a data network such as, for example, WiMAX, HSxPA, HSPA+, LTE and so forth.

    Abstract: Implementations of the present invention include a Public Cloud, one or more End-Caches and optionally one or more Edge-Caches in computerized architecture that provides digital content, such as entertainment services and/or informational content, to a guest display (i.e., End-Cache connected to in-room TV).
