摘要: A method, apparatus, and computer instructions for transferring data. The data in a first partition is received within a memory region assigned to the first partition in the logical partitioned data processing system to form received data. The memory region is assigned to a second partition, in response to a determination that the received data is for the second partition. The second partition may then access the data in the memory region.

摘要: Various systems and methods of transmitting a document via facsimile are provided. The transmission involves generating, in an origination facsimile device, a facsimile job that includes a document and a facsimile telephone number of a destination facsimile device. Next, a select facsimile server is identified, in the origination facsimile device, that is associated with the destination facsimile device from a plurality of facsimile servers, each of the facsimile servers being coupled to the origination facsimile device via at least one data communications network. Then, the facsimile job is sent to the select facsimile server through the at least one data communications network, wherein the select facsimile server transmits the document to the destination facsimile device through a telecommunications network.

摘要: A system and method for client/server communications, the method including the steps of loading to a client browser a frame set including a function frame and a content frame; loading application code to the function frame; and responsive to user interaction with the content frame, executing the application code. The frame set may also include navigation frame and a data accumulation frame. By using the frame set to store executable application code, collect and store data, and interact with a user, an application may be executed at a client browser substantially without client/server interaction beyond initializing the frames and communicating the end results.

摘要: A multithreaded processor includes an interrupt controller for processing a cross-thread interrupt directed from a requesting thread to a destination thread. The interrupt controller in an illustrative embodiment receives a request for delivery of the cross-thread interrupt to the destination thread, determines whether the destination thread of the cross-thread interrupt is enabled for receipt of cross-thread interrupts, and utilizes a thread identifier to control delivery of the cross-thread interrupt to the destination thread if the destination thread is enabled for receipt of cross-thread interrupts. The requesting thread requests delivery of the cross-thread interrupt to the destination thread by setting a corresponding interrupt pending bit in a flag register of the multithreaded processor. The destination thread is enabled for receipt of cross-thread interrupts if a corresponding enable bit is set in an enable register of the multithreaded processor. The flag and enable registers may be implemented within the interrupt controller.

摘要: Embodiments of the present invention relate to methods and apparatus for managing transaction requests in a multi-node architecture. In one embodiment, a previously received ordered group request may be forwarded to a destination agent. Whether a next received ordered group request belongs to a same ordered group as the previously received ordered group request may be determined. Additionally, it may be determined whether an ordering fork is encountered if the next received ordered group request belongs to the same ordered group as the previously received ordered group request. If an ordering fork is encountered, it may be determined whether a request complete message for the previously received ordered group request has been received. If the request complete message for the previously received ordered group request has not been received and the next received ordered group request in the same ordered group is at least one of a un-ordered request and a forward-ordered request, then the next received ordered group request may be forwarded to the destination agent after the request complete message for the previously received at least one of a forward-ordered request and a sequential-ordered request issued on a different path at the ordering fork has been received.

摘要: A data transfer control circuit is connected between a first bus and a second bus. The first bus is connected with a first CPU and a first memory. The second bus is connected with a second CPU and a second memory. The data transfer control circuit includes a temporary memory and a control unit. The temporary memory is configured to temporarily stores a first address and a first write data which are outputted by the first CPU through the first bus. The control unit is configured to translate the first address into a second address in the second memory with reference to an address translation table. The control unit occupies the second bus to write the first write data to the second address in the second memory through the second bus, when the first CPU releases the first bus after outputting the first address and the first write data to the data transfer control circuit through the first bus.

摘要: A method for modeling an enterprise application to be performed over multiple tiers in a distributed computer system. The method includes generating a model, such as a sequence diagram, of the enterprise application showing the tiers with standard responsibilities assigned to a client tier, a Web tier, a business logic tier, and an enterprise information system tier. The standard functions are assigned by identifying protocol services and mapping these to the tiers. Business functions for the application are identified with use cases. The basic business services are then mapped to the enterprise application model. This model is then further modified, such as by subdividing the tiers into subtiers, and mapping the detailed business services to the appropriate tiers. The method continues with identifying of architectural goals or capabilities and modifying of the enterprise application model to map or implement the architectural services associated with each goal to the tiers.

摘要: An interface apparatus having a first and a second buffer storage unit, the first buffer storage unit being associated with a first domain and the second buffer storage unit being associated with a second domain, and the buffer storage units being connected to one another for transmitting data. Each of the storage units is of two-stage design and respectively has a first and a second memory, the first and second buffer storage units are connected by unit of connections between the second memory in one buffer storage unit and the first memory in the other buffer storage unit, and data from one domain being written to the first memory and then to the second memory when a transmission operation is no longer pending between the domains.

摘要: A system and method employ a client-server architecture that abstracts from the client the states of objects and transitions between the states. As a result, the server maintains objects, along with associated states, and state transitions that are provided to clients on demand. The client is only provided with a set of valid transitions between states that are based on the current state of the object and valid transitions out of that state. The states may be additionally filtered based on the permissions granted to the client. In this way, the client is relieved of prior knowledge of valid object states and state transitions. Hence, in a document management system, for example, new states and transitions for objects may be added at the server and propagated through to the clients.
