    摘要: A system (1000) for estimating the frequency of a tone input utilizes sample rate reduction in successive stages and processing by digital cyclotomic filters at each stage. The tone input (2001) is first transformed in network (1100) to yield two quadrature tones. Digitizer (1200) converts the two tones into data words. Buffer (1300) comprises two essentially identical storage arrangments wherein data words are stored and then supplied to succeeding stages. Frequency-shifting unit (1400) effects modulus-one multiplication by processing appropriately selected data words. Word pairs and frequency-shifted versions thereof are processed by cyclotomic filters (1500). Sequential decimation in the system effects a successively refined estimate to the tonal frequency. During each stage of decimation, the filters are configured to provide symmetric coverage of the subband containing the estimate. Configuration information is provided by decision unit (1600) via threshold comparison of the outputs from the filters and controller (1700) provides control information to the elements of the system. Rate reduction occurs on a 4:1 basis for each stage of decimation. The first frequency interval covered is one-fourth the initial sampling rate, and each stage of decimation causes a factor of four refinement in the estimate. The filters are structured as the equivalent of four filter pairs at each stage of decimation; two of the four pairs are of first order, whereas the other two are of second order.

    摘要: An arrangement for signal analysis in which the function to be examined is split into its spectral components in a filter bank. The signal values of the individual components are successively applied to a comparison device and to the input of a store. The output of the store feeds the other input of the comparison device which generates a signal whenever the instantaneous signal values of all spectral components correspond to the stored, corresponding signal values, within predetermined tolerance limits. The successful comparison of each time a pair of signal values is counted for all spectral components, and the output signal is generated only if a predetermined counter position is reached. As a result, complete correspondence is not required. An additional pulse generator can also generate pulses for given spectral components which correspond to a successful comparison. The directly successive pulses of the comparison device are counted, and in the case of a negative overall comparison this counter position is transferred to a histogram-forming device which separately counts the numbers of the various counter positions.

When a determination is made that the design is not satisfactory, the filter design is modified and the process is repeated.     摘要: Embodiments of the present invention reconstruct a waveform at a receiver-end of a channel from an observed waveform physically measured at a probe point near the middle of the channel, where the channel is corrupted by reflections. The channel may be a memory channel of a high-speed I/O interface, for example. Equations to derive the waveform may be created using linear network analysis and/or signal processing, for example. S-parameters may be derived from simulated models representing components from the probe point to the load. The s-parameters together with the load impedance are used to recreate the desired waveform free from corruption due to reflections.
