摘要: A vehicle and a control method thereof are capable of automatically displaying a surround view image depending on a condition of a road surface. The vehicle includes at least one sensor, a display, a surround view monitor system, and a controller. The surround view monitor system is configured to obtain a surround view image. The controller is configured to estimate a gradient of the road surface based on a sensor value received from the at least one sensor and to control the display to display at least a part of the surround view image based on a preset condition related to the gradient of the road surface being satisfied.

摘要: A vehicle surveillance assembly includes an inside video camera mounted within a cabin of a vehicle to record video footage of an interior of the cabin. A plurality of outside video cameras is each mounted to an exterior of the vehicle to record video footage of the environment surrounding the vehicle. A tracking unit is wearable on the driver of the vehicle and the tracking unit broadcasts a tracking signal. A control unit is positioned within the vehicle and the control unit is in remote communication with the tracking unit, the inside video camera and each of the plurality of outside video cameras. The control unit actuates the inside video camera when the control unit determines the tracking unit is inside of the vehicle. Conversely, the control unit actuates each of the plurality of outside video cameras when the control unit determines the tracking unit is outside of the vehicle.

The processor may calculate location information of a light source for at least one of the first camera or the vehicle by using coordinates of a shadow object of the vehicle, which is recognized from the vehicle periphery image, and coordinates of the vehicle, and may determine whether the backlight is present, by comparing location information of the light source with the optical property information.

The articulating drive mechanism is lightweight, vertically compact, and ruggedized for severe service such as withstanding shocks from off-road travel and abrupt maneuvering. Articulation and illumination may be controlled remotely over Wi-Fi from inside or nearby the vehicle, and encrypted video feeds may be received by authorized users of an ad-hoc network of available smart-phone users and in-vehicle computer systems authorized and authenticated to participate in the network.
