    Abstract: A solution for measuring torque and other parameters of a mechanical component is provided. At least two bands can be affixed to the mechanical component and at least two sensing assemblies can be operatively coupled to each band. Each sensing assembly generates signals indicative of relative movement between a respective band and the sensing assembly. A signal conditioner conditions the signals for a computing unit to determine the torque to the mechanical component. The computing unit can determine the torque from a twist of the mechanical component that can be correlated with the torque.

    Abstract: A connector (130) is arranged between an inner support (110) and an outer support (120), and connects the inner support (110) and the outer support (120). A deformable body (140) has one end connected to the inner support (110) at a first position with respect to the direction of rotation about a Z-axis and the other end connected to the outer support (120) at a second position different from the first position, and is bent to be deformed in a radial direction by applying compressive force or tensile force between the first position and the second position. A detection body (150) includes a capacitative element including respective electrodes disposed to face the deformable body (140) and the outer support (120), and detects an elastic deformation generated in the deformable body (140) on the basis of the characteristic value of the capacitative element.

    Abstract: A torque measuring device for a flywheel is mounted on a frame of an exercise bike and has a base, multiple torque measuring apparatuses of a measuring assembly mounted on the base, a communication module mounted on the base, and a power module mounted on the base. The base is directly connected to the flywheel, a Wheel shaft, and a transmission mechanism of the exercise bike. The communication module receives and outputs measurement data. The power module provides electricity to the communication module and the measuring assembly. Through the simplified structure, the torque measuring device is directly assembled on the exercise bike to improve installation convenience and facilitate inspection or replacement. Moreover, the multiple torque measuring apparatuses can rotate simultaneously along with the base so as to improve the accuracy of torque measurement.

    Abstract: A gap compensated stress sensing system and methods for using the same are provided. The system can include a sensor head in communication with a controller. The sensor head can contain a stress sensor configured to generate a stress signal representing stress applied to a target based upon measurement of generated magnetic fluxes passing through the target. The system can also include a drive circuit configured to provide a current for generation of the magnetic fluxes, and to measure signals characterizing a gap between the sensor head and the target. The controller can analyze these signals to determine a gap-dependent reference signal that is relatively insensitive to electrical runout. The controller can further adjust the stress signal based upon the gap-dependent reference signal to determine an improved stress signal that has reduced sensitivity to gap changes.
