摘要： The present invention relates to an apparatus for heating stackable dishes. The apparatus includes a shaft-like heatable housing with an open top which can be closed off with a cover. A support for a stack of dishes is disposed within the interior of the housing. The support moves translationally in the vertical direction on guide rails and is linked to endless chains which are driven by an electric motor. By operating the electric motor, the support with the stack of dishes is moved to a vertical position which is convenient for removing or inserting dishes. This movement may be executed following an automatic opening of the cover. The operator does not need to bend over or to stretch to reach the dishes. An automatic control further serves to lower the stack of dishes into the housing and to close the cover after the passage of a predetermined time interval at the desired vertical position.

摘要： A suspension system for an electric heating element array of a furnace comprises first and second suspension arms with a hanger element support member extended therebetween. The suspension arms are pivotally mounted to a support rod passing through the insulation module and linked to the furnace wall via the module attachment system. Upon affixation of the insulation module to the furnace wall the suspension arms are pivoted until the support member contiguously transverses the hot face of the module. A plurality of hanger elements are suspended from the support member with the heating elements then hung therefrom.

摘要： An electric rice cooker is disclosed which has a cooking kettle containing rice and water, a thermal insulating frame and an electric heater provided adjacent to the outside surface of the kettle. The electric rice cooker performs auxiliary cooking, such as "twice cooking", for effectively converting beta-starch to alpha-starch after main cooking is completed. The auxiliary cooking operating time is properly determined in accordance with the actual amount to be cooked when every cooking operation is performed. The actual amount to be cooked is detected by a control circuit arranged in a case in accordance with a change in actual kettle temperature measured by a thermistor after a heater is deenergized, that is, in accordance with a peak temperature obtained by "after heat".

摘要： Mounting devices are provided for mounting the end portions of a replaceable infrared lamp on the sidewalls of heating chamber formed of a compressed insulation material with sheet metal covers on the outer surface thereof. Each mounting device comprises a ceramic holder having a hollow cylindrical body with a shoulder on the outer end thereof and a bottom wall on the inner end thereof. The bottom wall has a concentric circular opening with diametrically disposed notches. One of the ceramic holders is positioned in each of a pair of opposing holes in the sidewalls with its shoulder secured to the sheet metal cover by a sealant. The lamp is held with its end portions extending through the circular openings in the bottom walls of the ceramic holders so that the metal terminals of the lamp protrude outside the sidewalls. A gasket formed of a resilient refractory material is positioned on each of the end portions of the infrared lamp and tightly packed within the cylindrical body of the ceramic holder so as to provide a gastight joint.

摘要： A metallurgical furnace is disclosed which carries out the several steps involved in the liquid phase sintering of preforms of powdered metals, ceramics, and/or combinations of these materials. The metallurgical furnace comprises a pressure vessel defining an interior pressure chamber and a main furnace which is contained within the pressure chamber and spaced inwardly from the walls of the pressure vessel. The main furnace comprises a bottom wall, side walls, top wall and end walls which together form a substantially closed furnace chamber. Each of these furnace walls comprises at least one layer of insulation and, in addition, the top, sides, and end walls further include a vapor barrier which minimizes convection within the furnace chamber. The metallurgical furnace according to the present invention is capable of performing the presinter, sinter and hot isostatic pressing of preforms within the furnace chamber.

摘要： An L-shaped hooked end of a latch rod, rotatably supported by a range body, engages a door-supported cam surface as the rod is rotated on its longitudinal axis by a motor to effect oven door locking. The cam surface is fixed at and radially spaced from the center of an elongated member whose ends are fastened to the oven door. As the latch hook engages and rides the cam surface, the elongated member is placed in torsion to provide a biasing force that maintains the locked oven door in tight sealing engagement with the range body. The motor rotating the latch rod to effect oven door locking and unlocking is actuated solely by operator manipulation of the oven thermostat control apart from the oven selector and timer controls.
