摘要： A knitting machine that is capable of: knitting a knitted product of high gauge while effectively preventing increase in the number of components in a needle selection mechanism, and performing knitting methods such as inlaid knitting easily and reliably. The knitting machine comprises a plurality of knitting needles each of which have a protrudingly provided butt and which are arranged substantially parallel to each other so as to be able to perform a knitting operation independently, a plurality of selectors that move the knitting needles toward a protruding side of the butt, and a carriage having a cam groove along which the butt of the knitting needle, which has been moved by the selector to the side where the butt is protrudingly provided, can slide, in which the selector moves at least two adjacent knitting needles simultaneously to the side where the butt is protrudingly provided.

摘要： A needle bed structure for flat knitting machines that is located at two sides of a needle bed gap includes a plurality of parallel needle plates, a plurality of knitting needles and sinkers located between the needle plates, a sinker control portion movable in parallel with the arranged direction of the sinkers, and at least one control cam driven by a switching portion to push the sinkers to rotate towards the needle bed gap during the switching movement. The switching portion performs a switching movement according to the moving direction. The needle plates hole at least one needle pressing board to restrict vertical movement of the knitting needles. The switching portion has a magnetic attracting portion corresponding to the needle pressing board to form magnetic attraction therewith. A spacer is provided between the needle plates to prevent the horizontal movement of the sinkers.

摘要： The invention provides a driving apparatus for needle of a knitting machine wherein a coupling operation of a stator assembly and a moving assembly can be facilitated and a smooth movement of the moving assembly is assured. The driving apparatus includes a linear motor for reciprocally moving the needle. The linear motor include a pair of stator assemblies each having first magnet means thereon and opposed to each other with a space left therebetween in the horizontal direction intersecting a vertical direction, a moving assembly having second magnet means and disposed vertically between the stator assemblies so as to move in a direction of movement of the needle, and coupling means for supporting the moving assembly on at least one of the stator assemblies. The coupling means supports the moving assembly on at least one of the stator assemblies at a location either above or below a position at which the second magnet means is arranged. A position sensor detects a position of the moving assembly with respect to the stator assemblies.
