摘要: Methods are provided to make clinoptilolite into a water-soluble hydrolyzed form suitable for various administration routes, including oral administration. Absorption of water-soluble hydrolyzed clinoptilolite fragments can aid in detoxification by binding heavy metals and environmental toxins, can reduce reactive oxygen species and inflammation related to heavy metals and other/environmental toxins, resulting in an increase in energy, and/or in an increase in one or more of focus, concentration, and memory. Water-soluble hydrolyzed clinoptilolite fragments can be combined with one or more dietary supplements, including various vitamins and sleep aids.

摘要: The present invention provides acidic or basic cleaning compositions for use in cleaning food and beverage industry processing equipment and pharmaceutical and cosmetic industry processing equipment wherein the compositions of the invention comprise a food-equipment-safe acidic or basic cleaning compound and a food-equipment-safe colorimetric indicator of pH to show the desired acid or basic conditions during storage prior to the start of a cleaning cycle and after storage and during a cleaning cycle. The cleaning compositions of the invention are particularly useful in, for example, CIP cleaning processes.

摘要: A method and system for removing foreign grains from oat grains to establish gluten-free oats, i.e., oat grains having gluten levels below 20 ppm and, more preferably, below 10 ppm, relies upon performing various mechanical differentiation operations on a combination of grains, including oats and foreign, or gluten containing, grains. The mechanical differentiation operations can be arranged in series or in a combination of series and parallel operations. The various operations preferably include width grading and multiple length grading steps, as well as an aspirating steps, as well as a potential debearding step. The resulting oats can be used to make a wide range of gluten-free oat food products, including cereal and granola products.

摘要: A novel grape seed extract is enriched in procyanidins, has total polyphenols of less than 70%, and has a low degree of polymerization (dp). Other fractions of the extract have minimal polyphenols, fiber, and protein, but contain more than 90% sugars. In some specific examples, the individual extracts are obtained by sequential ultrafiltration of a water extract of the grape seeds. A first ultrafiltration provides a first permeate (Fraction A) enriched in sugars which is useful as a flavorant, and a first retentate. The first retentate is reconstituted and subjected to a second ultrafiltration at a higher molecular weight cutoff to produce a second permeate (Fraction B) that is enriched in low molecular weight polyphenols, and a second retentate (Fraction C) that is enriched in seed fiber. The Fractions are individually suitable for different nutraceutical products, or can be combined with each other in any combination and/or with other nutraceutical agents to enhance vascular and cognitive health.
