    摘要: An electrical connector has a connector body with a cable cavity at its cable connection end and a strain relief coupled to the connector body adjacent the cable connection end. The strain relief extends into the cable cavity. A wire spacer is mounted in the cable cavity adjacent to strain relief. This spacer has a central core and four radially outwardly projecting flanges. The flanges are angular spaced from one another by angles of substantially 90 degrees. The spacer maintains separation of twisted wired pairs in a cable which is secured to the connector by the strain relief to enhance the electrical performance of the connector.

    摘要: An easily removable high voltage ground stud insulative enclosure allows ready access to the ground stud bolt having one end directly attached to a switchgear terminal bus, with the other end adapted to receive a temporary ground connector. The removable part of the insulative enclosure consists of a thermoplastic insulative cylinder that is arranged over that part of the ground stud that is adapted for connection with the ground connector. The insulating properties of the thermoplastic material virtually eliminate arcing between the ground stud and the surrounding atmosphere when the switchgear is energized with high voltage.

    摘要: An electric cable joint (including a termination) comprises at least one inner component heat-shrunk onto a cable or on to at least one part of a cable and at least one outer component of resilient material which is an interference fit with the inner component(s). The heat-shrink component takes up considerable variation in the size of the underlying cable (or part thereof) so that a range of cable sizes can be accommodated by a much smaller number of inner component sizes than in a purely "slip-on" range.

    摘要: An electrical connector has an electrically non-conductive outer housing and connector members recessed in one end of the housing. Electromagnetic interference shielding is provided by members surrounding the components within the housing including an electrically conductive grommet circularly contacting conductive braid on the cable to which the connector is attached and a sleeve which surrounds the wires within the housing and extends axially to the connector end. One of the connector prongs is designated as the ground prong and is electrically attached to the sleeve. Embodiments accommodating three and four wires are disclosed.
