    Abstract: A microenvironmental cooling system is disclosed. The microenvironmental system includes a pressure box or a pressure source upstream of an evaporator. Downstream of an evaporator is a personal cooling device, which is adapted to lay adjacent or on the skin of the user. The evaporator includes an evaporator coil (having fins and a coolant tube) and a housing and walls configured to direct the airflow through the housing, in several embodiments, multiple times across the longitudinal axis fins of the coil.

    Abstract: An insulated purse is disclosed that is waterproof and insulated to keep a gel ice pack cold for several hours. In some embodiments, the insulated purse will have at least two pockets; one for containing a frozen gel pack, and the other for containing a soft cover for the gel pack. The purse can be held in a closed configuration by integrated fastening hooks or other closures. The insulated purse may be constructed of a variety of materials, such as leather, vinyl, or plastic; the gel pack cover may be constructed of a variety of materials, such as fleece, wool, cotton, silk, terry cloth, or chenille, among others.

The flexible plated cooling pack may be disposed in an inner portion of the crown portion and the sweatband of the headwear or may be inserted in a pocket formed at an inner portion of the crown portion and the sweatband of the headwear.

    Abstract: A microenvironment system for use with a heat transfer fluid includes a microenvironment structure and a fluid handling apparatus. The microenvironment structure defines a flow passage to receive a flow of the heat transfer fluid therethrough.     Abstract: A heat transfer fluid pathway is provided driven by a pump which feeds the heat transfer fluid through a vest and cap or other heat transfer garment, where the heat transfer fluid draws heat away from the body of the wearer. A drinkable heat sink material is located within a removable cartridge located within a heat exchange pouch. The heat transfer fluid passes from the heat transfer garment to the heat exchange pouch where heat drawn from the wearer is transferred to the heat sink material within the cartridge. A temperature control valve is provided along with a bypass line so that an adjustable amount of the heat transfer fluid is routed to the heat exchange pouch for temperature control. A supply of elevated pressure air is optionally provided to maintain optimal contact for efficient heat transfer within the heat exchange garment and the heat exchange pouch.

    Abstract: A system for cooling an auxiliary device having a main housing with at least one canister port, at least one fluid manifold mounted within the housing and in communication with the port, and a removable dry ice canister inserted in to the fluid manifold. Connected to the fluid manifold is a fluid line and connected to the canister is an air pressure line. Both the air pressure and fluid lines are connected to the pump. As the dry ice melts, it cools the fluid and creates pressure that activates the pump to pump fluid to the auxiliary device and back to the manifold for subsequent cooling.
