    摘要: A method of operating a filter press for solid-liquid separation of a product, the filter press comprising a press jacket with an end, and a ram in the press jacket and movable relative to the end to define a pressing space. The method comprising loading a product to be pressed in the pressing space; positioning the ram in a start position so that the product only partially fills the pressing space; advancing the ram, during a first phase of a forward movement, from the start position to a full contact position where the volume of the pressing space becomes equal to a volume of the product; and advancing the ram toward the end from the full contact position during a second phase of the forward movement, the ram exerting no pressure on the product during the first phase but exerting pressure on the product during the second phase to press liquid phase out of the product. At the full contact position, the ram is advanced at a forward velocity lower than an average forward velocity over the first phase.

    摘要: A fluid filter system with cartridge filters housed in a tank in which each cartridge filter has a lift tube positioned concentrically within each cartridge filter. The lift tubes extend from a support plate, which divides the tank into a raw fluid chamber and a processed fluid chamber, toward a tank cover. The lift tubes have inlet ports proximate to the tank cover so that the fluid surface in the tank is maintained at or near an upper end of the cartridge filters. This configuration enables the lift tubes to exhaust excess air in the tank through the lift tubes and out of the filter system through outlet ports in the processed fluid chamber. By exhausting air from the filter system, the capacity of the system is not compromised by the air and the expected life of the cartridge filters is not reduced.

    摘要: A filtering apparatus comprising an elongate container body, an inlet, an inlet reservoir, an outlet, an outlet reservoir, and at least two filter elements, wherein each filter units contains two or more space-apart and co-axially stacked filter elements encased in a cylindrical-shaped filter cartridge. Contaminated fluid flows from the inlet, through the perforations located on the inlet reservoir separator, and into the elongate container body. Fluid flows into the filter units through perforations in the filter cartridge and the open ends of the filter cartridge. The filter units use an opposed axial flow method to draw the fluid through the filter elements. The filtered fluid flows through a perforation in the axial conduit, passes through the axial conduit outlet into the outlet reservoir. The filtered fluid then exits through the outlet. The present invention may be used in operation with a motor and pump to filter large flow rates and volumes of contaminated fluid.

A cleaning device is moved in conjunction with the rotary shaft and includes upper and lower flushing cocks communicating with an outflow valve via the shaft for cleaning the candles during a backflushing operation. The upper flushing cock 27 is offset by an angle in the direction of rotation in relation to the lower flushing cock 37. A lower closure element 38 moves in conjunction with the upper flushing cock at the opposite end of a filter candle(s) selected for backflushing. Likewise, an upper closure element is associated with the lower flushing cock. The candles can be reverse-flushed in opposite directions and at different times by the flushing cocks and closure elements. The flushing cocks and closure elements are moved inside annular deflection hoods 60, 70.

    摘要: A filtering apparatus and method comprises parallel filtering elements backflushable with the pressure of the filtered flow. At least one washing organ connecting alternately to the different filtering elements, forms a discharge channel for the washing flow. A freewheel clutch is connected to a rotating axle of the washing organ, converting reciprocating movement generated with the pressure of flow in the filtering apparatus and with pressure alternating with it into a continuously parallel, stepping rotary movement of the washing organ. The mechanism containing the clutch may be outside the filtering room of the apparatus, and based on the alternation of the higher pressure of the flow filtered in the apparatus and the lower pressure from the discharge channel. The freewheel clutch is articulated to a piston in the cylinder, and is moved back and forth with the pressure difference, controlled by the channels relaying the pressure and by the valves.

    摘要: Slack end filtering tubes with tensioning members are utilized in an improved bump type filter employing a split inlet with an outlet and tube sheet at the lower slack end and a movable anchor plate at the upper end that can apply an adjustable tension to the filter tubes. The lower tube sheet is angled and has varying length connections to a plurality of filters to permit use of filter tubes of equal size. Movement of the anchor plate adjusts the lengths of the tubes by extending or shrinking the tubes to provide tension or relaxation of the tubes. Shaking the relaxed tubes removes accumulated materials to be flushed out. Tensioning of the tubes provides for filtration at the tubes. Slack end filtering tubes with tensioning members are employed in another embodiment to extract filtered liquid. A first set of filters extends outwardly from a vertical wall with a second set of filters resting along the bottom of the receiver. The housing has inlet, outlet and suction openings to supply liquid and withdraw filtered liquid.
