Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a communication method and system for converging a 5th-generation (5G) communication system for supporting higher data rates beyond a 4th-generation (4G) system with a technology for Internet of Things (IoT). The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT-related technology, such as smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car, connected car, health care, digital education, smart retail, security and safety services.In detail, an information transmission method of a base station in a wireless communication system according to the present disclosure includes: generating control channel monitoring information for monitoring a control channel of at least one of a first terminal using a first transmission time interval (TTI) or a second terminal using a second TTI; and transmitting the control channel monitoring information. In this case, the first terminal may support a first bandwidth or a second bandwidth and the second terminal may support the first bandwidth or a third bandwidth.

Abstract: The present disclosure is related to a 5th generation (5G) or pre-5G communication system to provide higher data rates than a 4th generation (4G) communication system such as long term evolution (LTE). A method for adjusting a receive beam gain by a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system is provided. The method includes estimating a received signal quality value based on a reference signal received from a base station (BS), transmitting information about the estimated received signal quality value to the BS, comparing the received signal quality value with a minimum received signal quality value required for successful reception of data from the BS, and adjusting a receive beam gain to be used for data reception by turning on/off a radio frequency (RF) chain formed for each of antennas included in the UE based on a result of the comparison.

The radio resources are associated with a plurality of symbols in a time domain and a plurality of resource block groups in a frequency domain. The information on the radio resources includes at least one of first information on a starting symbol, or second information on a size of each of the resource block groups.

The present invention provides a communication method of a terminal which communicates with a base station in a wireless communication system, the communication method comprising the motions of: transmitting, to the base station, a first random access request message comprising identification information of the terminal; receiving, as a response to the first random access request message, a response message comprising semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) terminal identity (ID) and uplink (UL) resource allocation information; and periodically transmitting, using the SPS terminal ID, UL data from a resource that is indicated by the UL resource allocation information, wherein the identification information of the terminal is information that indicates that the terminal will be appointed as an SPS terminal.

Embodiments of the present invention are to provide a method and apparatus for performing uplink synchronization in a wireless communication system. According to an embodiment of the present invention, a method of operating a terminal in a wireless communication system includes the processes of: receiving an adjustment message including a first timing advance (TA) value from a first base station; and transmitting an uplink signal to a second base station based on a second TA value for the second base station that is determined based on the first TA value. According to an embodiment of the present invention, it is possible to decrease the overhead of an uplink resource by adjusting an uplink signal time transmitted to other base stations or other cells by using information for uplink synchronization in a base station or cell in a wireless communication system.
