Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, a multicast message or a broadcast message that uses a radio link control (RLC) format associated with an RLC acknowledged mode (RLC-AM). The UE may decode the multicast message or the broadcast message to identify information associated with an RLC unacknowledged mode (RLC-UM) based at least in part on a capability of the UE. The UE may operate in accordance with the RLC-UM based at least in part on decoding the multicast message or the broadcast message. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may identify a beam used for communicating with a network entity, the beam associated with multiple bandwidth parts (BWPs) including a reference BWP with a first frequency. The UE may receive a BWP configuration from the network entity, the BWP configuration based on changing a frequency for at least one BWP of the multiple BWPs form the first frequency to a second frequency. Additionally or alternatively, the UE may identify a timing threshold associated with a BWP switching operation for multiple BWPs associated with the beam. The UE may switch from the first BWP to a second BWP during the timing threshold. The UE may communicate with the network entity according to the BWP configuration or the second BWP.

Abstract: A wireless communication device can flexibly change subcarrier spacing (SCS) and/or cyclic prefix (CP) in wireless communication. The wireless communication device can transmit, in a first sidelink resource of a sidelink resource pool, a first sidelink transmission using a first configuration of suhcarrier spacing (SCS) and cyclic prefix (CP). The wireless communication device can further transmit, in a second sidelink resource of the sidelink resource pool., a second sidelink transmission using a second configuration of SCS and CP, the second configuration being different from the first configuration in terms of at least one of an SCS or a CP. The techniques allow more efficient switching between SCS and CP configurations withing a resource pool, in the same bandwidth part.

In some aspects, a radio access network (RAN) node may transmit, to an access and mobility function (AMF) of a core network, a request associated with a location-based state of a user equipment (UE) served by the RAN node. Accordingly, the RAN node may receive a message in response to the request. The RAN node may receive the message in response to the request from the AMF. Alternatively, the AMF may establish a connection between the RAN node and a location management function (LMF) of the core network such that the RAN node receives the message in response to the request from the LMF.
