Abstract: Disclosed are systems and techniques for wireless communications. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some examples, a base station may transmit, to a secondary user equipment (UE), a first grant to conditionally transmit one or more data messages over a first set of resources upon completion of a detection procedure. The detection procedure may include monitoring a second set of resources for over-the-air (OTA) signals transmitted by a primary UE pursuant to a second grant, where the first set of resources at least partially overlaps the second set of resources. The UE may monitor for the OTA signals from the primary UE, determine that one or more conditions for transmission of the one or more data messages have been satisfied, and transmit the one or more data messages over the first set of resources.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide a user equipment (UE) that may receive an indication of a proximity discovery resource in a physical sidelink feedback channel (PSFCH) symbol from a network entity. The UE may transmit a proximity discovery request including the indication of the proximity discovery resource. The UE may receive a PSFCH sequence associated with the proximity discovery resource from other UEs that may respond to the proximity discovery request. The UE may transmit a bit map sequence indicative of the other UEs to the network entity. The network entity may determine a proximity between the UE and the other UEs based on the bit map sequence. The network entity may schedule the UE and the other UEs based on the proximity.

The UE may then perform a first LBT procedure to access the sidelink channel in accordance with the first LBT grant during a first channel occupancy time (COT). The UE may further perform a second LBT procedure to access the uplink channel during the first COT.
