    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques communicating in a wireless network. In one embodiment, a method includes monitoring for a paging downlink control channel comprising downlink control information, wherein the downlink control information comprises a first short message; processing the first short message; determining if the control information further comprises scheduling information; processing the scheduling information if the downlink control information comprises scheduling information and the UE is not in a connected state; and ignoring the scheduling information if the downlink control information comprises scheduling information and the UE is in a connected state.

    Abstract: An apparatus may utilize an air interface to transmit and/or receive a transmission during a first TTI that includes a second set of data overriding a first set of data scheduled for transmission during the first TTI. The air interface may further be utilized to transmit and/or receive a transmission during one or more additional TTIs that includes a third set of data in a data portion of a subframe, and an override indicator that is at least partially embedded in the data portion. The override indicator may be configured to indicate that the first set of data scheduled for transmission during the first TTI is overridden by the second set of data having the higher priority. The override indicator may be transmitted after the second set of data is transmitted. The one or more additional TTIs may be after the first TTI.

    Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for receiving reference radio frequency (RF) signals for positioning estimation. In an aspect, a receiver device receives, from a transmission point, a reference RF signal on a wireless channel receives, from a positioning entity, an indication that the reference RF signal serves as a source for a quasi-collocation (QCL) type(s) for positioning reference RF signals received by the receiver device from the transmission point on the wireless channel, measures an average delay, a delay spread, or both the average delay and the delay spread of the reference RF signal based on the QCL type(s), receives, from the transmission point, a positioning reference RF signal on the wireless channel, and identifies a time of arrival (ToA) of the positioning reference RF signal based on the measured average delay, the delay spread, or both the average delay and the delay spread of the reference RF signal.

    Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for reporting a group delay-per-frequency lookup table for transmit and receive beams. In an aspect, a user equipment (UE) receives, from a transmission-reception point (TRP), a first downlink reference signal on at least one downlink reference signal resource using a downlink receive beam, transmits, to the TRP, an uplink reference signal on at least one uplink reference signal resource using an uplink transmit beam, determines a parameter representing a difference between a reception time of the first downlink reference signal and a transmission time of the uplink reference signal, transmit the parameter to a network entity, and transmits, to the network entity, a first lookup table or an identifier of the first lookup table, wherein the first lookup table represents per-frequency group delay information for the downlink receive beam and/or the uplink transmit beam.

    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for configuring reference signals. A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving a control message indicating a first quasi co-location (QCL) for an aperiodic-tracking reference signal (A-TRS), the A-TRS being associated with a periodic-tracking reference signal (P-TRS), determining a second QCL for the P-TRS based on the first QCL for the A-TRS, setting a receive beam for reception of the P-TRS based on the second QCL of the P-TRS, and decoding one or more frames based on channel statistics estimated via the P-TRS received via the receive beam.
