    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Techniques described herein provide for a termination of a neighbor awareness networking (NAN) pairing session between a first NAN device and a second NAN device. A first NAN device that has initiated a pairing session with a second NAN device may transmit a deauthentication frame to the other NAN device to terminate the pairing session and remove the authentication key(s). The first NAN device and second NAN device terminate the pairing session and remove the authentication key(s). The deauthentication frame may include a header that indicates the addresses for the first and second NAN devices. In some cases, the first NAN device may establish NAN communications with multiple peer devices (e.g., in a NAN cluster). The first NAN device may multicast the deauthentication frame to the multiple devices. The multicast deauthentication frame may include an identifier for the NAN cluster.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, devices and systems for generating a secure long training field (LTF). In some implementations, the secure LTF may include a randomized bit sequence that is difficult, if not impossible, to replicate by any device other than the transmitting device and the intended receiving device. For example, the transmitting device may use a block cipher or stream cipher to generate a pseudorandom bit sequence and may select a subset of bits of the pseudorandom bit sequence to be mapped to a sequence of modulation symbols representing an LTF symbol of the secure LTF. More specifically, each of the modulation symbols is mapped to a respective one of a number of subcarriers spanning a bandwidth of the secure LTF. The transmitting device may further transmit a physical layer convergence protocol (PLCP) protocol data unit (PPDU) that includes the secure LTF to the receiving device.

A first wireless communications device may transmit, to one or more second wireless communications devices, a first message that triggers transmission of a second message by each of the one or more second wireless communications devices, the first message allocating to each of the one or more second wireless communications devices a respective frequency-based resource unit for transmission of the second message, each of the respective frequency-based resource units spanning a portion of a channel bandwidth of a channel. The first wireless communications device may perform channel sensing measurements on the second message received from each of the one or more second wireless communications devices. The first wireless communications device may estimate the channel based on the channel sensing measurements performed on the respective second messages received on the respective frequency-based resource units.

    Abstract: In some implementations, an initiator device establishes a measurement session with each of a plurality of responder devices based at least in part on their capabilities. The initiator device negotiates, with each of the responder devices, a respective set of one or more sensing parameters based at least in part on the capabilities of the initiator device and the capabilities of the respective responder device, the respective sets of sensing parameters associated with the responder devices being identified by a unique Measurement Setup identifier (ID). The initiator device performs one or more measurement instances with the responder devices based on the respective sets of sensing parameters, each measurement instance identified by a unique Measurement Instance ID and the respective Measurement Setup ID. The initiator device obtains, from each responder device, one or more measurement reports indicating channel state information (CSI) based on the one or more respective measurement instances.

    Abstract: Methods, devices, and computer program products for synchronization of wireless devices in a peer-to-peer network are described herein. In one aspect, a method of wireless communication apparatus is provided. The method includes receiving, at an apparatus, at least one of: an offset parameter indicating an offset, with respect to a default time period, during which the apparatus should be in an active mode for transmitting and/or receiving data, and an interval parameter indicating a multiple of time periods, wherein the apparatus should be in the active mode for transmitting and/or receiving data during each time period.     Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A ranging message procedure may employ protection by modifying a cyclic prefix of the ranging message to prevent an attacking device from transmitting a time-advanced copy of the cyclic prefix during symbol of the copied signal. For example, the modified cyclic prefix may include pseudo random training sequences or a set of zero-value symbols. The receiving device may determine a channel estimation technique that accounts for the modified cyclic prefix. The wireless devices performing the ranging measurement process may determine a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) for the ranging message. The wireless devices may negotiate an MCS value and cyclic prefix configuration for the ranging measurement process. In some examples, the ranging message be encoded by applying a sequence of phase rotations or amplitude variations to the base sequence used to generate the sounding training signal.
