An example method of sending an alert message includes receiving a notification from an alerting device, determining a notification recipient associated with the alerting device, determining a location and one or more notification preferences associated with the notification recipient, determining a notification device based on the location and the one or more notification preferences, and sending the alert message to the notification device, wherein the alert message includes an indication of at least one notification preference and the alerting device.

Abstract: A method of indicating resources for uplink-based positioning includes: determining whether a UE is within a downlink coverage area of a serving cell, for a first frequency band and a transmit power of the serving cell, and outside an uplink coverage area of the serving cell for the first frequency band and a transmit power of the UE; identifying a second frequency band supported by the UE, the second frequency band including frequencies below a lowest frequency of the first frequency band; and providing at least one PRS indication indicating at least OFDM UL-PRS resources in the second frequency band for the UE based on a determination that the UE is outside the uplink coverage area of the serving cell for the first frequency band and the transmit power of the UE.

Abstract: Methods and systems for wireless communication are provided. In one example, a mobile device is configured to: obtain beam support information of a plurality of cells; perform measurements of one or more signals at the mobile device based on the beam support information of the plurality of cells to support a location determination operation for the mobile device; and transmit results of the measurements of the one or more signals to at least one of a location server or to a base station to support the location determination operation. The beam support information may include: a number of beams supported at each cell of the plurality of cells, information to identify each beam of the number of beams supported at the each cell, beam width information of the each beam, and/or Positioning reference Signals (PRS) codebook information which encapsulates the beams which are enabled along various elevation and azimuth angles.

Abstract: Techniques to maximize connectivity to a preferred radio access technology (RAT) (e.g., 5G NR) over a less preferred RAT (e.g., 4G LTE) are disclosed. When UE is camped on a non-preferred RAT connectivity capable cell, offset(s) may be applied to accelerate triggering of the cell reselection. When cell reselection is triggered, offsets or biases may be applied to favor reselection to preferred RAT connectivity capable cell over a non-preferred RAT connectivity capable cell.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are described relating to changes in an antenna configuration of a multi-antenna radio frequency (RF) transceiver between reference signal occasions. In one set of examples, a first antenna configuration at a first reference signal occasion of a first RF transmitter is stored, and if the antenna configuration has changed by the time a second reference signal occasion of the first (same) RF transmitter begins, the antenna configuration is switched back to the first antenna configuration. In another set of examples, compensation data to enable compensation between the first antenna configuration used to measure a first reference signal of a reference RF transmitter and a second antenna configuration used to measure a second reference signal of a neighboring (different) RF transmitter is retrieved and used when computing a time difference between the first and second reference signals.
