Abstract:
Systems and methods are provided that can include monitoring of activities of potential customer users, for example, on an e-commerce Web site. Based at least in part on the monitored activities, a notification or alert may be provided to a merchant or a merchant administrator, regarding a potential customer, such as by being sent to a mobile device of the merchant or merchant administrator. Real-time communications may be facilitated or initiated between the merchant or the merchant administrator and the potential customer, such as with regard to a potential purchase, which communications can include the use of mobile devices.
Abstract:
One or more techniques and/or systems are provided for supplemental content identification. Service usage of a client device of a user corresponding to a time frame of an event may be identified (e.g., a user interacting with a social network). The user may be determined to be viewing the event based upon the service usage, external data (e.g., an event schedule.), demographic data (e.g., a user interest), a current location, etc. A service usage pattern may be determined based upon the service usage. A second service usage pattern may be determined based upon second service usage of a second client device of a second user. Responsive to the service usage pattern and the second service usage pattern comprising a pattern similarity exceeding a pattern threshold, the second user may be identified as viewing the event. The second user may be provided with supplemental content associated with the event.
Abstract:
A computer implemented method can determine validity of web-based interactions. Web-based interaction data relating to a web-based interaction may be accessed. The web-based interaction data may include aggregate measure data that may include a number of unique queries per web-based session. The validity of the web-based interaction may be determined based on the aggregate measure data.
Abstract:
An immersive three-dimensional display with interactive content panels which is responsive to input from users' interactions is disclosed. A panoramic image is spherically mapped to a virtual three-dimensional space. Interactive content is configured with transparent images to form interactive content panels. The interactive content panels thus formed are positioned within the three-dimensional space to form the immersive 3D display with a background comprising the panoramic image. The immersive 3D display is transmitted to the client device for display to the user.
Abstract:
The present teaching relates to exchanging a key with a device. In one example, a secret value is generated. A message is transmitted to the device. The message includes information related to the secret value based on which the device is to create a cryptographic key. A visual code displayed on the device is captured. The visual code includes a first piece of information and a second piece of information. A key value is generated based on the first piece of information and the secret value. A test value is calculated based on the key value. It is determined whether the device is securely connected based on the test value.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed to a system, method and computer program for enabling a user (100) (an auditor or a viewer) to access complementary information related to one or a plurality of sequences or topics of interest (102) in a recorded program (103) previously broadcast on the radio or television and played back on a device, such as an audio or video tape or disk recorder/player (104). The preferred embodiment of the invention relates to a system and method for enabling a person (100) listening to or watching a recorded program (103), to select one or a plurality of topics (101) (102) drawing his or her attention and for immediately receiving further information related to these topics from the World Wide Web. The system is based on the synchronization of local times (204) (205) of transmitters (201) and recorders (203). The flow of information transmitted, received and recorded is always synchronized, independently of the relative positions of recorders and transmitters. The synchronization is done referring to an absolute or universal time such as the Global Positioning System Time (GPS-time), the Global Orbiting Navigational Satellite System (GLONASS) time or another suitable universal time based on a satellite system. The GPS or GLONASS receivers are integrated or connected to the broadcasting stations. At the receiver side, GPS or GLONASS receivers may be integrated or connected to the audio or video recorders. The system is also based on a plurality of hyperlinks defined during the production and recording of the broadcast program, for given sequences corresponding to particular intervals of time synchronized with the universal (absolute) time. The hyperlinks are associated with the information that is broadcast in the program. They can be selected by users during the playback of the recorded program during predefined intervals of time and activated to access additional information and services.
Abstract:
The present disclosure describes improving target segments data provided by data management platforms and generating a new target segment that is not available from data management platforms. An advertisement platform compares multiple target segments received from data management platforms. Each of the multiple target segments includes a plurality of items and target group metadata. Then, the advertisement platform retrieves memberships related to the same user or device from the multiple target segments, and determines whether the memberships are logically inconsistent by applying predetermined logical consistency rules. If the memberships are logically inconsistent, the advertisement platform modifies the multiple target segments by eliminating the inconsistent items.
Abstract:
DNS wildcard beaconing. In one embodiment, for example, a computer-implemented method comprises: receiving a network request from a resolver to resolve a hostname, the network request from the resolver comprising a network address of the resolver, the hostname comprising a unique wildcard portion; storing first data representing an association between at least the unique wildcard portion and the network address of the resolver; receiving a network request from a client for a resource, the network request from the client comprising a network address of the client and at least the unique wildcard portion; storing second data representing an association between at least the unique wildcard portion and the network address of the client; based on the first data and the second data, associating the client with the resolver; and storing third data representing the association between the client and the resolver.
Abstract:
Techniques are provided for including collection items in the ranked set of search results that are returned to a user in response to a search query. Collection scoring techniques are also provided for generating relevance scores for collection items in a different manner than relevance scores are generated for base items that are not collections. The collection scoring techniques may be applied to non-base collection items, base collection items, or both. Items that match the search query, including base items and collection items, are ranked in a unified ranking based on their respective relevance scores, thereby allowing searches to readily determine the relevance ranking of matching collection items relative to matching base items.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the invention are directed to using image data and contextual data to determine information about a scene, based on one or more previously obtained images. Contextual data, such location of image capture, can be used to determine previously obtained images related to the contextual data and other location-related information, such as billboard locations. With even low resolution devices, such as cell phone, image attributes, such as a histogram or optically recognized characters, can be compared between the previously obtained images and the newly captured image. Attributes matching within a predefined threshold indicate matching images. Information on the content of matching previously obtained images can be provided back to a user who captured the new image. User profile data can refine the content information. The content information can also be used as search terms for additional searching or other processing.
