Abstract: Provided is a latent heat transfer material that is micro-encapsulated, said material exhibiting superior mechanical strength and heat resistance. A production method for the latent heat transfer material that is micro-encapsulated in a hard shell comprises: 1) a step in which a perforate hollow silica particle is manufactured; 2) a step in which the phase change material is sealed inside the perforate hollow silica particle by inserting the perforate hollow silica particle in a molten solution of the phase change material and repeatedly subjecting the same to vibrations such as ultrasound oscillations; 3) a step in which the perforate hollow silica particle having the phase change material sealed within is washed in a saturated aqueous solution of the phase change material; and 4) a step in which perhydropolysilazane is used to coat the outer shell of the perforate hollow silica particle with silica.

Abstract: A drill guide has a main body in which a drill insertion hole is formed and plural projection portions to be inserted into plural bone tunnels. The plural projection portions project forward from the main body parallel with the center line of the drill insertion hole, a virtual drill insertion hole which extends from the drill insertion hole of the main body is formed between the plural projection portions parallel with their center lines by cutting out confronting portions of the plural projection portions, and the length of at least one of the drill insertion hole and the virtual drill insertion hole is 5 mm or more. The drill guide can guide a drill so as to be correctly between plural bone tunnels bored through a living body bone without causing axis deviation so that a link bone tunnel for connecting the plural bone tunnels can be formed between them in the same direction as their direction.

Abstract: The present invention provides: a furoxan compound having a fluorine atom as a substituent group on the ring structure thereof; and a novel nitric oxide donor including the compound. The present invention relates to a fluorofuroxan compound represented by general formula (1) or (2). The compound of formula (1) can be manufactured by reacting a fluoride salt with a nitrofuroxan compound to substitute the nitro group with a fluoro group. The compound of formula (2) can be manufactured by subjecting the compounds of formula (1) to isomerization by irradiation with light.

Abstract: A scattering tomography method includes: radiating waves to an object from a plurality of transmitting antenna elements aligned on a side surface of a case; receiving scattered waves by a plurality of receiving antenna elements aligned on the side surface of the case; and reconstructing an image relating to information on an interior of the object using scattered wave data representing the scattered waves. In the reconstructing, a reconstruction function for reconstructing the image relating to the information on the interior of the object is set in advance for a three-dimensional space having the same shape as the case, a scattering field equation which the reconstruction function satisfies is constructed, a visualization function that is obtained by solving the scattering field equation is derived from the scattered wave data, and the image relating to the information on the interior of the object is reconstructed using the visualization function.
