摘要: A barrier that is releasably secured across an ingress/egress to a balcony or other elevated platform. The barrier is a fence-style assembly that has a pair of vertical posts that are releasably secured within respective boots secured to the floor. One of the boots includes a switch-activated transmitter that is inactive when the respective post is seated in the boot. If the post is pulled out of the boot, the switch-activated transmitter transmits a wireless signal to a transceiver located on the barrier which then transmits a signal to an on-site controller that transmits respective text messages to authorized personnel informing them of the barrier removal and restoration and will continue to do so until the barrier status changes. The transceiver may be housed within a housing that also contains a visual and/or audible warning at the barrier vicinity to warn those in the vicinity of the barrier removal.

摘要: In general, a smart door alarm and locking mechanism and methods for use thereof are provided for maintaining security while providing ease of access to a fuel dispenser. In an exemplary embodiment, the methods and devices are used in fuel dispensing devices for providing fuel to a vehicle. However, the methods and devices can be utilized in any device having a payment system where security and access are both required. In some embodiments, the described methods and systems include a door alarm and door lock kit that allow unlocking one or more doors in a housing of a fuel dispenser and simultaneously disabling or de-activating respective door alarm sensor(s). In a similar manner, the door can be locked and the door alarm sensor activated or re-activated substantially simultaneously.

摘要: A method for a shipment storage apparatus is disclosed. The shipment storage apparatus includes a storage space having a plurality of shipment retainers arranged in it. In the method, access authorization information is obtained. The access authorization information authorises a user to access one or more of the shipment retainers. It is determined whether access by the user to one or more of the shipment retainers can be granted, at least in part on the basis of the obtained access authorization information. Only if it has been determined that access by the user to one or more of the shipment retainers can be granted, access of the user to the storage space is granted, and it is determined whether the user accesses only the one or more of the shipment retainers that the access authorization information authorises the user to access.

摘要: A container breach detector system, which has a self-contained container breach detector having a housing with a mounting plate. At least one retaining clip retains a collapsible detector device. The self-contained container breach detector is mounted onto a door frame of a transportation container to monitor breaches of the transportation container, whereby the collapsible detector device is in a collapsed configuration when the door is closed, and in a neutral configuration when the door is opened. The self-contained container breach detector further has an electrical system having at least one set of sensors having at least one IR proximity and distance sensor that detects a proximity or distance change of the door internal face when the collapsible detector device changes from the collapsed configuration to the neutral configuration indicating that the door is open.

The notice may be sent to a controller, a remote system, a remote device, and/or a client device as disclosed herein.

A receptacle first sends a signal from a transmitter on a first module in a receptacle to a receiver on a second module in the receptacle, wherein the first module is located on a first inner wall of the receptacle and the second module is located on a second inner wall of the receptacle, and wherein at least part of the first module and the second module is located a distance above a bin inside the receptacle. Next, the receptacle determines a signal-detection characteristic including a signal detection status or a number of signal pulses associated with a signal detection. Based on the signal-detection characteristic, the receptacle determines an operating condition of the receptacle, the operating condition including a fullness level or an obstruction level associated with the first or second sensors.

A door is integrated into the compartment to provide access for storing and removing the bicycles. A mechanical lock secures the door shut with the compartment, preventing access to the interior. A digital number pad and a digital thumbprint scanner are provided to unlock the mechanical lock by an authorized user.

摘要: A window sensing device with movement detection enables use of a window sensing arrangement to provide an indication even when a window sash that is open is moved, while an alarm system is armed. The window sensing device includes an accelerometer configured to sense movement of a window sash in a given direction. A magnetic sensor is configured to sense presence of a magnet when the window sash is in a closed position. An electronic controller outputs a normal state wireless signal when the magnetic sensor senses the magnet and outputs an alarm state wireless signal when the magnetic sensor does not sense the presence of the magnet. When the electronic controller is outputting an alarm state wireless signal and the accelerometer senses movement of a window sash, the electronic controller outputs an indication of movement of a window sash in a given direction.
