    摘要: The beverage cooling device of the present invention comprises an ice receptacle having an ice compartment therein and having an open upper end. An electric motor having an outlet shaft thereon is mounted in a track on the exterior of one of the walls of the receptacle and is free to move upwardly and downwardly within the track. The output shaft extends through a shaft opening in the side wall of the ice receptacle, and includes a suction cup for detachably grasping the container for the beverage. Actuation of the electric motor causes the beverage container to rotate and to frictionally engage ice within the ice receptacle.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for the provision of cooling through the utilization of aerosol sprays is disclosed. The hot water output of a load device is stored until low ambient temperatures exist, whereupon the hot water is atomized and exposed to the ambient air to be cooled thereby. A spray cooling system can also be combined with an artificial ice making system to provide even lower load device input temperatures. Specialized insulating devices can be used in connection with the artificially made ice to decrease the heat transfer between the ice and the ambient air during warm weather.

    摘要: A vertically elongated hollow housing including opposite generally parallel side and end walls is provided and closed at its top by a top wall. CO.sub.2 snow forming structure is disposed in a upper portion of the interior of the housing and a bottom wall structure closes the lower portion of the housing. The bottom wall structure includes an elongated horizontally disposed inverted V-shaped wedge of sharply tapered configuration extending between the end walls of the housing and the wedge is functional to split the lower portion of a quantity of snow disposed within the housing above the wedge and to force the lower portions of the quantity of snow into full surface-to-surface heat transfer relation with the inner surfaces of the lower portions of the side walls of the housing horizontally aligned with and opposing the wedge as the quantity of snow sublimes. Further, the side walls of the housing include vertically extending corrugations functioning to at least substantially double the exposed inner and outer surface area of the side walls. The corrugations themselves are trapizoidal in cross section whereby substantially full surface to surface contact between the lower portions of a quantity of CO.sub.2 snow disposed within the housing and the inner surfaces of the corrugated side walls thereof is assured.

There are two refrigerated plates over which a steel belt passes in two runs at an angle to the horizontal. A heat conducting lubricant is supplied beneath the belt as it starts along each run. A special arrangement is provided for removing ;the lubricant at the bottom of the path of the belt and special means is provided to evaporate water from the lubricant.
