摘要： A connector configured to operate in two different electrical performance modes. The connector may include a plurality of connector contacts, a plurality of contact pads, and an insulator having an insulating portion adjacent the plurality of contact pads. The insulator is movable between an insulating position and a non-insulating position. When the insulator is in the insulating position, the insulating portion insulates the plurality of contact pads from the plurality of connector contacts and the connector operates in a first one of the electrical performance modes. When the insulator is in the non-insulating position, the plurality of connector contacts contact the plurality of contact pads and the connector operates in a different second one of the electrical performance modes. The connector may be implemented as a plug or an outlet.

The insulative housing (1) includes a base portion (11) and a tongue plate (12) extending from the base portion (11). The detecting contacts (5) include two first detecting contacts (51). The base portion (11) defines a receiving cavity (1130) passing through the base portion along an upper to down direction. The base portion includes a resisting portion (1152) disposed behind the receiving cavity. Each of the first detecting contacts includes a first main portion (512) received in the receiving cavity and a first contacting portion (511) extending from the first main portion forwardly. The resisting portion (1152) supports the first main portion (512) forwardly to prevent the first detecting contact from being pushed and dropping from the electrical connector when a plug connector is inserted.

摘要： An improved electrical connector for connecting bus lines to a card such as a memory card or media card, including a multi-level connector comprising a latching device having a plurality of insertable latch positions that advantageously allows for selectively connecting or isolating an electrical path to an adjoining connector. The connectors of unpopulated DIMM slots are disconnected from the network along with the traces that would normally form a stub with associated undesirable signal reflections that would otherwise disturb the signal transmitted to the receiving end if not properly terminated. The contacts of the edge connector itself are used as a means to selectively connect or disconnect adjacent/downstream cards in a serially cascaded architecture. The burden of the stubs due to unpopulated card slots and the need to place one card at the far end of the network are thus eliminated.

摘要： A receptacle connector for a electronic device includes two sets of contacts arranged in two opposing rows in a cavity. A corresponding plug connector can be inserted into the receptacle connector so as to contact both sets of contacts. The receptacle connectors includes contacts that are dedicated for DisplayPort signals and contacts that provide non-DisplayPort signals. The contacts dedicated for DisplayPort signals are only enabled if the electronic device receives a notification from a connected accessory that that the accessory supports DisplayPort capability. Otherwise these contacts are in an “open” or deactivated state.

摘要： A stackable breadboard includes a plurality of through holes formed therein, including a plurality of first insertion holes that extends through a top surface a bottom surface thereof and a plurality of second insertion holes that extend through the top surface and side surfaces thereof. The first insertion holes extends longitudinally to allow more than one breadboard to connect in a longitudinally stacked arrangement through male and female connection terminals thereby achieving a three-dimensional stacked arrangement that effectively reduce the surface area occupied thereby. Further, the second insertion holes are arranged to extend, at opposite ends thereof, in the longitudinal and transverse directions to allow more than one breadboard to connect to each other sideways by means of the male and female connection terminals to achieve expansion of the functionality thereof.

A ribbon cable wound on a spool is housed inside the extension unit. The ribbon cable protrudes through the extension unit into the main housing unit to establish an electrical connection, which allows the extension unit to be used as a conventional extension cord. The extension unit includes a plurality of power plug sockets and a power switch for each plug socket so that power to each socket can be controlled. The main housing unit also includes a power switch and a power consumption monitor.
