    Abstract: An electrical connector (100) includes an insulative housing (1), a plurality of terminals (2) received in the insulative housing, and a shell (3). The insulative housing includes a base portion (11) and a tongue plate (12) extending from the base portion forwardly. The tongue plate includes a mating face (13) and a supporting face (14) opposite to the mating face. The terminals (22) include a pair of signal terminals defined in the supporting face, a grounding terminal, and a power terminal. The pair of signal terminals are defined between the grounding terminal and the power terminal. Each of the signal terminals, the grounding terminal, and the power terminal has a thickness greater than 0.2 mm. The power terminal is made of nickel and copper.

    Abstract: A receptacle connector for mating with the plug connector, includes an insulative housing and two rows of terminals. The housing includes a main body and a mating tongue forwardly extending from the main body and forming two opposite mating surfaces. Each of the terminals includes a front mating section and a rear mounting section. The mating tongue forms a plurality of passageways to receive the mating sections of the corresponding terminals therein, respectively. The housing further forms a plurality of holes communicatively behind the some passageways in the vertical direction for increase the impedance of the corresponding terminal on the mating sections, respectively.

    Abstract: An electrical connector comprises: an insulative housing and a plurality of terminals retained in the insulative housing. The insulative housing has a base portion and a mating tongue. The mating tongue comprises a stepped portion extending from the base portion and a tongue portion extending from the stepped portion. The insulative housing defines an outer periphery. The stepped portion defines a front face. The base portion defines a rear face. The terminal defines a connecting portion buried in the base portion and the stepped portion, a contacting portion extending from the connecting portion. The insulative housing defines a sealing member filling in the periphery of the connecting portion. The sealing member not extends out the front face of the stepped portion, the rear face of the base portion and the out periphery of the insulative housing. It is favorable for improving the waterproof effect of the electric connector.

    Abstract: An electrical connector includes an insulating housing, first terminals, second terminals and a shielding shell. The insulating housing has a base portion and a mating portion, and the base portion has a mounting surface. The connecting legs of the power terminals and the grounding terminals are disposed at the middle area of the mounting surface, and the connecting legs of the differential signal terminals are respectively disposed at two opposite sides of the connecting legs of the power terminals and the grounding terminals.

    Abstract: An electrical receptacle connector includes a terminal module assembly and a grounding collar thereon. The terminal module assembly includes the front mating tongue, the rear body, and the step structure therebetween, and the corresponding contacts. The contacts are secured to the body with contacting sections exposed upon the mating tongue. The grounding collar includes the grounding regions located on two opposite upper and lower surfaces of the step structure. The front edge area of the grounding region adjacent to the front edge area, forms a notch so as to leave a space to allow the spring finger of the corresponding interior grounding plate of the plug connector to first slide upon the step structure and successively contact the grounding region of the grounding collar of the receptacle connector.
