摘要： A drafting device of a textile machine includes a roller and an opposed counter roller, each including a roller body and an axis of rotation, wherein the axis of rotation of one or both of the roller and the counter roller is mounted only at one end thereof. The roller is movably mounted between a resting position in which the roller body of the roller and of the counter roller are not in contact, and a load position in which the roller body of the roller and of the counter roller are pressed against one another along a contact region. The roller is movable from the resting position into a load position by moving into an intermediate position wherein the axes of rotation of the roller and of counter roller are aligned such that the contact region between the roller and the counter roller is smaller than in the load position of the roller.

In order to provide a structurally simple way in which the bearing housings can be mounted on or removed from the presser roll in a simple, quick and reliable manner, the bearing elements are in the form of rolling-element bearings and there is a coupling between the journal and the rotational body.

摘要： To produce a mock yarn which is similar in appearance to a true yarn with respect to the ability to discern the components of the mock yarn after the twist has been imparted to the mock yarn, the rovings or slubbings forming the mock yarn, after drafting separately but parallel to one another in a drafting frame, are subjected separately to condensing and compaction by suction rollers or belts provided with rows of perforations. Thus compacted and condensed rovings are then combined, twisted and wound up as mock yarns. A core thread can be introduced into each roving or into at least one of the rovings upstream of the last pair of drafting rolls or immediately upstream of the condensing unit for a core mock yarn.

摘要： A system for lubricating the lower roller bearings of a textile machine drafting equipment includes a base body with punched-out shapes movably mounted on the base body by way of adjusting devices. Bores are defined in the punched-out shapes for receipt of the lower roller bearings. An encapsulated lubrication system supplies lubricant to the bearings and includes a channel defined through the punched-out shape with an outlet into the bore and an inlet in communication with the channel defined through the base body which is in further communication with a source of lubricant at one end thereof. An excess lubricant removal channel is defined in the punched-out shape and has an opening in communication with the bore and an outlet on a side of the punched-out shape away from the operating area or space of the lower roller.

摘要： The present invention provides a drafting apparatus and method having a plurality of pairs of rollers which pairs are each driven in the same rotational direction and have silver contact points oriented along a common straight line. Sliver is fed to the primary rollers through a trumpet guide connected to a strain gage to determine the size of incoming silver and adjust the draft ratio accordingly to equalize the output silver weight. A silver presence and position detecting device operative on a reflected signal is provided adjacent the output of silver, which sends a signal through a computer to adjust the speed of the silver take up apparatus.

摘要： In the case of a textile machine comprising drafting units that are disposed next to one another, the bottom cylinders are arranged in the longitudinal direction of the machine so that they continue along several or all drafting units. The continuous bottom cylinders are disposed at several bearing points which are arranged at a spacing from one another in the longitudinal direction of the machine. It is provided, in the case of the delivery bottom cylinder, to design at least some of the bearing points such that they can be radially adjusted. As a result, radial directional deviations of the delivery bottom cylinder can be compensated which occur along its longitudinal dimension.

摘要： An apparatus and method are provided wherein a cavity defined by a rotating hollow member, such as a draw roll in a fiber processing system, is supplied with a hot fluid so as to heat the exterior surface of the hollow member. The fluid is withdrawn from the cavity and passed through a rotating syphon conduit which is fixedly connected to the hollow member. The temperature of fluid flowing within the syphon conduit is detected by a suitable temperature detector positioned within the syphon conduit so as to indicate a drop in fluid temperature when normal fluid flow to the hollow member cavity is interrupted.
