摘要: Methods and systems for making a film made of dynamically vulcanized thermoplastic elastomeric material are provided herein. The subject methods and systems achieve dimensional stability of an elastic film by applying thermal treatment as part of the film making process and enhance the shrinkage of the film by intentionally with stretching the film while hot and freezing the film in the stretch. The systems and methods are useful in controlling shrinkage of DVA post film extrusion.

摘要: There is provided a parison guide which improves a flatness of parison with a simple configuration. A parison guide (1) guides a parison (P) which has an arc shape in horizontal cross section and is discharged from an extrusion apparatus (2). The parison guide is fixed to a discharge-side end portion of the extrusion apparatus (2). The parison guide includes a contact face (17) configured to come into contact with and guide an edge portion of the parison to flatten the parison. Preferably, the contact face (17) includes a curved surface, and the contact face (17) has a curvature of a horizontal cross section which gets smaller in a discharge direction.

摘要: A deep-drawable and heat-shrinkable film based on a coextruded multi-layer film is provided having improved deep drawability and good oxygen and water vapour barrier properties. The multi-layer film is made up of at least nine layers which, from outer to inner layer, have the following structure: 60-40 vol % polyamide (PA), 40-60 vol % amorphous polyamide (aPA)//100 vol % adhesion-promoting agent//100 vol % partially neutralised ethylene (meth)acrylic acid copolymer (ionomer)//100 vol % adhesion-promoting agent//60-40 vol % polyamide (PA), 40-60 vol % amorphous polyamide (aPA)//100 vol % ethylene vinyl alcohol copolymer (EVOH)//60-40 vol % polyamide (PA), 40-60 vol % amorphous polyamide (aPA)//100 vol % adhesion-promoting agent//70-40 vol % low density polyethylene (LDPE), 30-60 vol % linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE). The films are produced on a blown-film extrusion line with three bubbles.

摘要: A balloon catheter is provided that may be used to dilate hardened regions of a stenosis. The balloon catheter is provided with one or more dilation elements that extend along a surface of a balloon. Each dilation element is monolithically connected to an outer surface of the balloon by a connector. The connector is sufficiently sized and designed to undergo stress-induced plastic deformation incurred during blow molding so that a significant portion of each of the dilation elements does not become absorbed into the wall of the final blow molded balloon, thereby maintaining the structural integrity of each of the dilation elements. The dilation element has a flattened outer surface along at least proximal and distal neck portions of the balloon.

摘要: The invention relates to a device for reducing the microbiological contaminants of container products which consist predominantly of plastics materials. In said device a plastics granulate is fed to an extruder assembly (19) which melts the granulate, said granulate being subsequently supplied to a form fill seal machine for producing the relevant container product. The device also comprises a guide assembly (35) for the targeted guidance of the plasticated plastics material from the extruder assembly (19) to said machine. The device is characterised in that at least one guide assembly (35) has at least one flow or channel guide (41) for the melted plastics material, so that microbiological contaminants are guided predominantly into the interior of the wall of the polymeric tube, said interior being enclosed by regions of the plastics material that are less contaminated.

摘要: The invention relates to applicators for applying a solution or other composition (e.g., an antiseptic composition) to skin of a patient. The applicator may include a container body having a proximal end, a distal end, and a frangible member disposed at the distal end of the body. The applicator includes a first position where the container body and frangible member are a unitary piece (e.g., blow molded as a single piece), and a second position when the frangible member is rotated relative to the body to irreversibly break a weak point therebetween, releasing the composition in the hollow body through an opening. A porous applicator head may be positioned adjacent the distal end of the body and frangible member, so that the composition flows out the body, through the opening, and onto the head. The applicator may be formed in a blow-fill-seal process for improved sterility and ease of manufacture.

A determination area is set in the parison in a discharge direction of the parison, a storage unit is provided that stores an infrared threshold set for the determination area, and the determination unit compares the detected values from the infrared cameras with the threshold.

摘要: In at least some implementations, a blow molding apparatus provides that portions of the parison are engaged by one or more clamping devices disposed on or adjacent to the blow mold parts, and that the blow mold is opened whereby the parison is torn apart between the clamping devices, into two or more pieces of the parison. In other implementations, the clamping devices may be moved relative to the blow mold to tear the parison, or the parison may be torn by a combined movement of the blow mold parts and clamping devices.
