    Abstract: A display device includes: a display; and a controller that executes control so as to employ a first or second display mode. The first display mode includes first areas and first images; the second display mode includes second areas and second images; at least one of the second areas has a size different from sizes of the first areas or the number of the second areas is different from the number of the first areas; content of at least one image among the second images is different from content of the first images; and upon detecting at least one of an instruction for image selection issued to select at least one image among the first images and an instruction for area selection issued to select at least one area among the first areas, the controller switches from the first to the second display mode.

    Abstract: Implementations of the present disclosure are directed to a method, a system, and an article for managing and displaying graphical elements on a client device. An example computer-implemented method can include: presenting a first graphical element on a display of a client device; presenting a second graphical element that partially obstructs the first graphical element on the display, the second graphical element including an image; and determining that a third graphical element will be presented on the display and will partially occupy a location of the second graphical element, and, in response: rendering the image to an offscreen buffer; presenting the rendered image at the location of the second graphical element; and presenting the third graphical element to partially obstruct the rendered image.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present application disclose a display control method and a display control apparatus, relating to the field of near-to-eye display technologies. The method includes: determining a first display area, in the FOV of a user, of an image displayed on a main display device; and using at least one near-to-eye display device according to the first display area to display augmentation information related to the image. In the method and apparatus of the embodiments of the present application, at least one near-to-eye display device is used to supplement a display that is provided at a suitable viewing distance of a user by a device but cannot fully fill the FOV of the user, and augmentation information is used to fill the FOV of the user as far as possible, so that good immersion media viewing experience can be provided.
